door latch/ catch completely shattered
Snapped latch into existing hole in 2 seconds. The pin that goes into latch was still intact. That's it ,real simple. The only problem I will hopefully not have in the future is the the mico-switch which is just hanging in there, the switch works but the lever that extends out from the face, that works with the door is partially broken off and the switch is no longer available on your parts list. The appliance is twenty-one years old. I am very happy with your service and I received the parts the next day, after I ordered them and I will be buying more parts in the months to come. This time it will be for my Kenmore gas stove and then a Kenmore refrigerator door hinge.

Both outside door handles turned very beige
Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discoloring refer handles. Thank you

The dryer door catches needed to be replaced
I watched the video provided first to get an idea of how it should go. The dryer I have had a different kind of door, so those instructions didn't apply. You probably don't want to publish the way I ended up fixing it, but it did work eventually. Saved me over $500!! Thank you!

Door latch broken
For 2 years, I propped a broom stick against my dryer door to keep it shut while it was running. Last Sunday night, I decided that it was about time to fix it. I found the PartSelect site, which was extremely easy to navigate, and ordered a replacement kit. It arrived in 2 days via Fed Ex and actually contained extras of each of the 2 components, in slightly different sizes. It took me about 10 minutes of eyeballing the parts to figure out how to place them and about 30 seconds to install the new latch parts. They fit perfectly. Great site, great service, I would highly recommend this site.

Dryer door wouldn't stay closed
I didn't have to remove the entire door...I just removed the screws with the door open, used a needle nose plier to remove the plastic insert..stuck the new one in. Then I replaced the metal portion by popping it out and inserting the new one. Easy

The door would pop open and the catch was broken
When I got the door catch, I held it in a pair of pliers and pushed it right into place. The door would still pop open. After awhile, I realized that the door was bent, probably by a small child climbing up on it. I had to loosen some of the screws that held the door on in order to relieve the tension in the door so that it would stay closed. As long as it continues to work, I won't worry about replacing the door. It's in a rental house anyway.

Door catch was broken on dryer door
I got my kit and when I opened it the exact parts were there!! I am a older woman and was a little worried that I could do it. I took the pliers and pulled the old latch catch out and 1-2-3 walah!! It was so unbelievably easy. If I can do it anyone can. Thank you for saving me hundreds of $s on a new dryer.

Door would not stay shut due to worn striker.
These instructions are for a door with a round metal striker and a latch with 2 small springs. Before ordering parts try loosing striker and rotating it 90 degrees and retighten. With door shut open trash bin and loosen half way 3 screws on bottom of door. Open door and remove 3 screws holding handle to door. Remove 1 screw on each side and using a small flat screwdriver pry front and back of door apart. Use pliers squeeze small tabs on side of latch and push latch out of backside of door. Push new latch in place and loosely install all screws before final tightening. The striker can be held with pliers while removing the nut on the backside with a 1/4 inch drive socket or wrench. Install new striker. Do not over tighten.
