Freezer would frost up then frig temp would rise to un safe tempertures
UN plugged refrigerator,waited 24 hours to let defrost,removed panels,cut out old Bi metal Defrost thermostat,wired in new thermostat,reassembled freezer,plug back in,working great

Protective cover for bulb had melted
I tried to just replace the cover rather than the whole unit but it was impossible - the cover would not go/stay on. I tried to remove the old unit completely but it would not unplug it was practically fused to the back of the fridge and the liner was cracking. I ended up breaking the cover and jerry rigging it over the bulb to prevent items in the fridge from being able to touch. Bad solution.

Recent move and movers broke the light switch on refrigerator side.
Unplugged the refrigerator then removed two vertical screws on the very back back of the control panel (the ones with the washers). Do not remove the four other vertical screws in the panel. The front plastic plate on control panel snaps off and there are two horizontal screws under the plate. Remove them and the control panel will drop down allowing access to the light switch. Unplug the two wires (one black and one white) from the old switch. Discard the old switch, snap the new one into place and reconnect the two wires. Snap the front plastic plate back into place, plug in the refrigerator and you are done! Problem solved with a new $16.00 switch and saved at least $75.00 or more from an appliance repair call. Freezer froze up and water in ice and water in bottom of refrigerator
Had to take everything out and defrost the whole refrigerator dry up and than took back off at bottom and the one covering the Bimetal. The hole was plugged so we took the compressor and blew it and finally got all the ice out before we put on the Bimetal. This is the 4th time we fixed this and I don't know why it won't last longer than 8/9 months. The warrenty is for a year and so far I have gotten 2 refunds thank you!

ice maker would not make ice.The fill tube had seperated and iced up so no water could get to ice maker

ice maker water fill tube cracked
hardest part was pulling out the refrigerator. it took about five minutes. parts fit perfectly. only thing to look for is some excess flashing on the end of the tube. easily removed with a pocket knife. simple repair.

fill tube broken at elbow
Moved the refrigerator out, unscrewed old fill tube, pulled it out, placed finger-screw on water line, screwed it on, put in new fill tube, re-screwed fill tube in place, put refrigerator back into place. Done!

Hinge plate and end caps located on refrigerator door broke
When new parts arrived took them out of their packaging and just took off the broken end caps and replaced them with the new ones. As for the hinge plate it was already off so I just had to replace it with the new one. My next project will be to order the door seal and replace that since Part Select has that part in stock.

Clips that held the door bar on the interior of the door were broken off
Ordered new replacement parts. Took new parts to the work site and proceeded to install them. First removing the reminance of the old clips from the bar its self. Using a flat screw driver pri the metal tabs open so the old part can be removed. Reset the crimp in the metal bar and install the new clip into the ends of the metal bar. Insert the new clips into the appropiate holes in the door liner and pop into place. Very easy repair when you have the right parts.

Kick Plate Clip Broke
On the left side I unscrewed the screw and replace it with a new one . The right side in had to take s file and file of the rivet. You can use a rivet gun or a metal screw to replaced the clip. Once it is finish open the refrigerator door to see how to line the kick plate into the clip. A piece of cake.

Water fill tube was broke at the 90° in back of the frige
Water was already off. All I had to do was pull the fridge away from the wall, remove two screws that hold the fill tube onto the back of the frige, then remove the fill tube. Install the new fill tube, reinstall the two screws. Had to cut the water line straight and clean, slip on the new Compression nut and farrell and insert into the new fill tube, tighten-up, good-to-go.

water tube froze and got bent so it would not fill ice maker properly
Removed screws from the back of the part in the fridge. Pulled old part out. Measured the old part. Cut new part to fit. Replaced new part and tightened the screws. Worked perfectly.
