Fan motor died
First, made sure new fan worked then Placed back in bracket with bushings-only goes in one way, pushed fan back on. screwed bracket to back of freezer and ran the wires to their original place, plugged in the two plugs, put the back piece up attaching ground and pulling ice maker plug thru, screwed back on. Plugged in ice maker, mounted ice maker on freezer wall. Plugged it in. Exact reversal of how it was removed. Not a lot parts to get confused.

Fridge too cold. Food freezing. Water line frozen. Running too long.
Removed 2 screws holding cover (one on left; one behind air filter on rear wall), removed cover, removed styrofoam duct, unplugged and removed old damper. The styrofoam duct broke slightly during the removal process. This was easily fixed with some 3M spray adhesive. While the adhesive dried, I packed the air passage between the fridge & freezer with paper towels to help the fridge cycle a bit (this worked surprisingly well). After finally installing the new damper and repaired styrofoam duct, the fridge went right back to freezing the food again (I soon realized this was caused by a VERY SMALL air leak where the new damper mates with the flange located on the freezer). After making a gasket with some self adhesive1/8" thick weatherstripping and applying it to the damper, things are back to normal operation.

Getting Ice Maker to sit in place prior to tightening screws.
Don not completely remove holding icemaker screws. Unit slips over screws and drops down into place and the use nutdriver to tighten in place. Rest of unit was sound and wasn’t replaced.
After icemaker is installed wait for a while and unit self activated and creates ice cubes.

Broke the Rocker Switch in Fridge side
Popped out with butter knife and unplugged 3 prong connector and reversed with anew switch.

But, unfortunately it got broken again exactly same way as before.
So, I ordered same switch again for 2nd time.

Maytag should recall that Rocker Switch and build with better materials.

replaced water filter
Had a hard time getting the refridgerator part of the filter to LET GO. The grooves weren't lined up with the areas meant to pinch. A knife on each side got it to release.
Thanks.
Have a good one.

Light switch wasn't working.. As I would close the door I would notice our frig light wasn't going off...
I simply removed the old switch by gently pulling down on the old switch with a screwdriver. When it was about half way out I just gently pulled down on the old switch and it popped out... I removed the two connectors attached to the old switch by pulling on the connectors with a pliers...I tried using my fingers but wasn't able to pull the connectors off so I used pliers. It worked perfectly.. When pulling off the old connectors, make sure you attach the new switch to the same tabs on the new switch... It was very easy to do and took under 5 mins.....The light switch works perfect....P.S. You should unplug the frig while making the connection just in case....Safety first....!!!

10 years old, bifold top doors, right side seal torn, causing the refridge to not seal and lose cooling capability from leakage
WITH PATIENCE! removal of door and old seal no problem! Followed the video- very clear. The part was difficult. Ornery plastic that needed to be softened and clipped (in comes the hairdryer and vaseline)- First corner great! the other 3 -patience. we set the door on a folding table with a towel on top to prevent scratches and ability to slide it around . inserting the dense plastic flange to clip under the seal was the most difficult . i approached the insertion from the opposite side so I was PULLING the seal into place with the base of a putty knife.( instead of my pushing fingers-70 arthritic- use tools to help!!
It took bit longer, a challenge- can be done, I am so happy i don't have to look for a new refrigerator!!!! Thank you for that instructional video which gave me the courage for the repair.
