7WSC19D2XS01 Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

It was straight forward enough--removed six screws from the metal cooling coil shield at the back of the freezer compartment and removed the shield. That left the motor and its mounting exposed atop the coil. Removed the electrical leads and popped out the motor and fan. Then I replaced the leads on the new motor, reset it in the mounting and pushed the fan propeller from the old motor on the spindle of the new. Twenty minutes tops.

I pulled the wiring harness off the bad motor, removed the fan blades (it was just a press fit and can be pulled off by hand), took out the three screws. The fan on the replacement motor had to be installed out of the fridge. I wiggled the new motor into place and installed the three screws. I cut the wiring harness off the fridge side and cut back the insulation. Using wire nuts I reconnected the wiring. I plugged the fridge back in and it worked like a champ.
The repair went fairly easy. The motor was a bit difficult to get into tight space with my big hands. The wiring harness on the fridge side had to be cut and wire nuts used to reconnect the wiring to the new motor but it was pretty straight forward. Over all the repair was easy except for being in a tight spot. I recommend trying to fix it yourself, you may supprise yourself and save some serious bucks on labor cost to boot.

Ordered Ice Bin Auger and changed with no problem. Found how to change on YouTube and followed video.

****Make are you order Capacitor & Starter relay too (we ordered separtely so had to pay shipping twice)**** Super easy just open access panel on back near compressor and remove retention clip with fingers, remove & replace both capacitor & starter, put clip and access panel back on, plug in and allow 8 hours to cool! Works like new again! Hope it goes another 10 years

First I removed the screw holding the ice door shaft (at the rear of the ice container). Removed clip of which the screw was holding in place (no need to remove the clip from the shaft). Then I removed the front cover screws, separated front cover from ice container. Door shaft is removed with front cover assembly, no need to remove anything else from front cover. Pulled out auger shaft, removed circlip (snap ring) and washer from front of shaft. Used an adjustable wrench to remove plastic nut from front end of shaft. CAUTION - the plastic nut is reverse thread, make sure to turn it clockwise to loosen and remove. Pulled off broken auger then reassembled with new auger in the reverse order as previously described.

use kitchen knife to pry out. replaced switch assemble and pressed back into place. Could not have done this with out help from previous customers. Thanks

I had a son put in the new light bulbs. Rather simple

Philips screwdriver
Removed screw (1)
Removed light bulb
Put in new light bulb
Closed door to bulb compartment
Returned screw.

Pro tip! Check how many bulbs you need before ordering. Mine only needed two. I got two. I suspect I’ll buy a new microwave before new bulb burns out again. Ordering/delivery was fast. No need to have spare on hand.

First I unplugged the refrigerator, then removed the lower back panel to get access to the compressor. Then I removed the original compressor start relay, removing the metal clip and unplugged it from the side of the compressor. Installed the new compressor start relay from partselect. Plugged the appliance back in and the refrigerator started working again immediately with the compressor running properly and no more clicking sound. Reinstalled lower back panel.

Took the old one out and put the new one in

Take out shelves and back shelf pins and remove long cover. Disconnect wires and take old part out and installed new part. Then reversed and put everything back together. It worked perfect. No more noise

I just popped out the old switch with a flat head screwdriver. Removed the connections and then installed new switch by reversing steps. Popped in back in and the light went on.

All I did was unscrew the stripped one and screw the new part on. You just have to get it started unscrewing first ( remember that it's backwards! ).

SUPER EASY. I pulled out the ice bucket and confirmed the motor ran and the axel turned - however the coupling was missing. Ordered the coupling - pulled out the ice bucket, screwed on by hand with minimum effort, put ice bucket back and ice started coming out the door. It took less than 5 minutes and no tools required.
