MSF22D4XAB00 Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

My humidity control and veggie drawers were cracked and broken, I had shopped around but the price to replace them was too high and not in my budget. I came up on partselect.com while searching to find a more reasonable price. The price, service, delivery and customer service was outstanding. One of the drawer had been damaged during shipping, I called them and they sent another one free of charge right away. I had a very positive experience and I have added them to my favorite web sites.

We wanted an additonal shelf on the door of our 10 year old refrigerator. I called because I wasn't sure what to order. The saleswoman was very helpful and friendly and my order was placed quickly. It arrived in just a few days and was easy to place on the door. It is now in my refrig holding lots of little jars and bottles. Thanks PartSelect! We wonder why it took us so long to think to order this!

Wash, dry, insert.

I opened the refrigerator door, being careful to leave the freezer door closed. After verifying that refrigerator light was on, I squatted down to be at the same level as the crisper drawer. Firmly grasping the old crisper drawer by the convenient built-in handle, I pulled the drawer until it was fully opened. I removed the contents of the old crisper drawer, noting the original location of each item, so that I can place the contents into the replacement drawer in the same place. Grasping the old crisper drawer, I pulled outward and lifted slightly until the drawer was off the track and out of the refrigerator. Using both hands, I placed the rear of the new crisper drawer against the drawer track, lining the tabs on either side so that they would enter the track. I applied gentle, rearward pressure, guiding the new crisper door onto the track. This step was a little tricky. I had to wiggle the new crisper door up and down a bit, to get the new crisper door past the "stop bumps" in the track. After the new crisper door was sufficiently in the track to be supported by the track, I replaced the contents in (what I thought) the same locate from which they were removed from the old crisper drawer. After placing all contents back into the new crisper drawer, I applied a little more rearward pressure until the new crisper drawer was in the fully closed position. I then closed the refrigerator door. I quickly reopened the refrigerator door, to ensure the light went out. It was on. I slowly closed the refrigerator door, keeping an eye on the gap between the refrigerator door seal and the refrigerator cabinet, and noted the light did, in fact, go out when the door was about a half inch from being fully closed. Returning to a fully standing position, I announced to my wife that I repaired the broken crisper drawer. The congratulated me on my accomplishment and I felt a rush of satisfaction over a job well done.

Be gentle when installing new plastic crisper drawer. If possible, read install instructions in Refrigerator Owner Booklet. Put new crisper drawer in position and gently push in until you are stopped by encountering the "stops" in side-support rails that are attached permanently to walls of refrigerator. Per Owner Booklet, lift new crisper drawer up slightly to pass over the "stops", then let the crisper drawer settle back down and push it in the rest of the way. Removal is reverse procedure. Be gentle!

Simply washed the part and installed

Took the broken one out and put the new one in. I am a very skilled craftsman. ;-)

Pulled out the old one an put the new one in. I was impressed with how easy it was to work with partselect.com, I had alway ordered through Sears before, but from now on I will be using partselct.com for ordering parts. Got the part in two days with free shipping and $20 les than Sears that did not have the part in stock.

SUPER EASY!!!! I pulled the old one out and put the new one in. Perfect fit and it took less than 60 seconds. This web site was about $30 cheaper than ordering from Kenmore and it was identical. I ordered my Crisper Pan on Wednesday and got it Friday. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!

All I did was removed the stickers and place it in the frame - no tools required. It fit perfectly and is since it is clear (the original one has a grid pattern in it) I can easily see everything in the drawer below. I will be more careful in cleaning this one - apparently the temperature difference from cool to warm caused it to break, so I will just wipe this one down rather than submerging it in water.
