Ice chute would not open.
Removed ice dispenser and display with small screwdriver from front of the fridge. Pried out the whole piece slowly. This exposed the motor that activates the chute. Plugged in the new motor before any removal to verify the motor was the problem. When it worked, removed old and installed new. 3 screws. Piece of cake.

Water had reached its recommended service life..
Closed valve to water supply line; Removed contents of top shelf. Removed top shelf by sliding it out. Unscrewed old water filter and screwed in new filter. Replaced to shelf and contents in reverse order. Opened water supply line.

Right side door creaky squeaky annoying
Took off door per normal instructions.
Removed the old stopper and hinge assembly (the hard rubbery parts had worn enough against each other to cause the annoying sound when opening and closing the door).
Inserted the new stopper and hinge assembly.
There was no locking nut on the newer part, so just had to level the fridge door without that part of the instructions (from normal LG instructions)
Overall easy for a non-handy person and the annoying sound is gone.
Wife is happier now.

Cold water control rusty and leaking water
Removed old part very easily and installed the new part without any problems. Used and adjustable wrench and screwdriver

Spring was broken on original unit, had to replace whole lever.
removed old lever ( 2 screws ) took apart electrical connection, replaced lever, connected electrical hookup, put in screws. DONE !!!!!!

Recommended change interval for water filter.
Remove top shelf. Screw out old filter and install new.
