58826 (ATICSER) LG Refrigerator - Instructions

After checking the prices of new refrigerators, I decided that I had nothing to lose trying to repair the sticking ice/water dispenser. I followed the previous instructions by prying off the panel with a screwdriver working my way around. Some effort is needed, but it will come loose before it breaks. You should remove the funnel first. If you have an older model, the funnels are fragile and should come out with a gentle back and forth jiggle. I broke mine. After pulling the face off the frig,I noticed that the plastic piece the activates the dispenser was partially out of its cradle in the rubber piece. Apparently pushing too hard on it can dislodge this piece and cause the unit to stick. Check this out before going for a new actuator. It only took a few minutes to clean and reassemble and reinstall. Works perfectly. Received new funnel and it was different than the one I took out. I missed the note that said if you order the funnel, you should also get the bracket to be sure they go back together. Two lessons learned. Don,t be afraid of this repair and don't push too hard on the dispenser.

The replacement gasket does not have as strong a magnet as the original one. I removed the old one carefully so as not to cause more damage in case I have to put it back. Using Tongue suppressor I pushed new gasket into place and put a thin coating of protelem jelly on the gasket. I just have to make sure the door is closed each time to be sure of good seal.

This site was awesome! I was able to very quickly look up my refrigerator model, find the proper part number, and order the part. The only suggestion I would make is to update the cut sheet with a more clear version, it was a little difficult to make out the part number because the scan/drawing was fuzzy, but I was still able to make it out. Got the part in the mail very quickly and it was super easy to remove the old rail and install the new one. Take out the screws from the old one, remove the old rail, line up the holes, install the new one, and put back the screws. It's so nice to have a site like this to fine parts and order them! Very easy to replace right and left rail 3 screws on each side

Ordered part from part select. Received part with out instructions. It took only one screwdriver for 1 screw removal and then removing cover to replace switch. Pretty simple

Replaced water pump assembly, all compression fittings easy to put together

First ,I unplug the refrigerator .
2nd i remove the back cover, clean the dust.
3th disconnect the water line, remove the all valve..
4th unplug all the wires and code ea with a No,remove the water lines
5th replace the valve reconnect the wires and water lines.replace the
back cover at last screw back the water line.check for water leaks .
i found ease the valve replacement installation.

It was a "snap to complete it" inasmuch as the part just snapped in.

Removed shelf that rails were mounted to. Used a std phillips screwdriver to loosen screws attaching the rails, three per side. Removed damaged rails, lined up new rails and tightened screws. Returned shelf to refrigerator and inserted tray on the new rails.

replaced gaskets for the second time in four years

Simply removed the drawer, then removed the shelf above which held the guides, removed the guides ( 3 screws per side )and replaced them.

Just unscrew screws from old rails (still in refridgerator ), and screw them into new rails. We tried to order these parts from another online part site and we got the wrong parts. Partselect.com had drawing of our fridge and it was very easy to navigate through the web site. Thank you!

Uncoupled the old connector, replaced with new connector and attached supply line. Repair easy with right part, prior to ordering the right part I had tried a compression fitting and it still leaked. U-tube and others demonstrating repair assured me I was on the right path.

unfortunately my fridge stopped working. I purchased another but wanted to try and repair the old one. when ew one arrived, the old one was supposed to be put in garage but instead was hauled away. Had delivery return next day but they had as already removed and lost the handle screw for the bottom freezer and the screw that holds handle in place. ordered the handle screw and picked up the nut. very simple to install the screw and put handle back on.

We had two of the door baskets break and so we had no room in the frig. My husband and I were talking about maybe just replacing the frig. He said lets see if we can find the parts online. So we came to this site, found our parts, ordered. Received very fast and installed seconds. Saved money on buying a new frig.
