Very bad noise which stopped when the door was opened
The Refrigerator now runs very quite.
After watching several videos I started on mine and found that it was a bit different than any in the videos. However all but the back panel was shown and that was helpful.
The back panel was a bit difficult but a hair dryer seemed to help .
All in all it was a good choice to do it myself as it was done quicker than waiting on a repair man.

The spring on the flipper broke from the unit
I ordered the part from Partselect, received it two days later, installation couldn’t be easier, remove two screws from the hinge and slide the old part out, remember to unhook the electric line. To install just do it in the opposite order.

Ice maker wore out.
I installed the new 3 wire ice maker very easily, but it was defective. I was told that instructions for the return of the defective part would be sent later due to the virus. I have never received the return instruction.
I did receive a credit for the defective part. VERY Satisfied with y’all’s service.
Waiting for return instructions if y’all still want it back.
Thanks,
Thomas Pennebaker

Ice maker not making ice, ice tray overfills and cannot dump, ice sticks together and will not dispense
This repair is pretty straight forward. Just remove the 3 screws that hold the ice maker and bin assembly in, unplug the wire harness connector, then remove it from the refrigerator door. Once removed you simply need to remove 3 more screws that hold the ice maker to the auger/bin frame, remove the temp sensor, and a couple pieces of tape. Re-assemble the new ice maker in reverse order and you are all set. I think part of the issue I was having was due to mineral buildup in the tray as well so it had a hard time cracking and removing the ice. Not sure why it was overfilling, maybe the sensor was broken or had buildup on it as well. This solved all the problems I was seeing and now it makes great ice that doesn't stick together and form a bridge in the bin.

The old ice maker had cracked and broken, and would no longer make ice.
Six screws to remove the old one (I looked up the process on Youtube) and six screws had it back in tip top shape.
Three wire connections, two were plug in and one was a ground wire.
BTW: It was a 3 wire, not a 6 wire. I had ordered that by mistake and PartSelect made the return and replacement very easy.
