removed three screws pluged it in and it was ready to go. I must add That I ordered it one day and received it the next day by fed ex. I could not believ how fast the service was also the new icemaker is working great. I will order any furture parts I need from Parts Select. Also have given your web site ot several other people. i noticed that no water was getting to the ice maker. rather than messing around with parts, i bought the entire unit. easy to remove old one and install new one. thanks...ice started again in about an hour. unit cost less than a service call!

Ice maker wouldn't eject the ice often enough. After reading a few other stories, I just ordered the universal ice maker from Part Select. All I had to do was remove some of the plastic shrouds from my old ice maker and put them on the new one. I also reused my mounting brackets. The whole job took me 20 minutes.

Easy plug and play repair for anyone. Sourced the part and watched the video instruction on the website. The video was spot on, the old part was removed and replaced with the new part. The video explained in detail the step by step instructions plus added what tools were required. Very simple fix and the part arrived a day early! Very satisified with the service and easy repair instructions. With a 1 being the easiest and 10 being difficult this would have a rating of 2.

I simply removed the old switch by gently pulling down on the old switch with a screwdriver. When it was about half way out I just gently pulled down on the old switch and it popped out... I removed the two connectors attached to the old switch by pulling on the connectors with a pliers...I tried using my fingers but wasn't able to pull the connectors off so I used pliers. It worked perfectly.. When pulling off the old connectors, make sure you attach the new switch to the same tabs on the new switch... It was very easy to do and took under 5 mins.....The light switch works perfect....P.S. You should unplug the frig while making the connection just in case....Safety first....!!!

Super! It was so fast and easy to fix. Receive my kit in three days and save a lot of money not having to have a repairman come and do it!

I took a chance and ordered a switch that is next to the top of the door. looked for how to remove it easily done in ten minutes works fine last long time.

Broken plastic part in motor assembly. Very simple to replace. Sears wanted $322.00!!!

inserted a knife between the switch and the plastic interior in order to pop the switch out.
then took off the 2 wires on the old switch put them on the new switch and reinserted the switch into the plastic interior.

I removed three sheet metal screws, unsnapped the electrical pigtail. Then snapped out knock out on new maker. Matched the electrical connection, pushed it in place. Finally set new one in place, leveled it, tightened the scews and walked away.

It was exactly as everyone else described--remove old ice maker, unplug, plug in new ice maker, attach new ice maker. 3 screws, 1 plug. My plug was the one on the ice maker not on the refrigerator (ie I used the wiring/plug that was already in the freezer).

On my particular model refrigerator I only needed to remove one screw and disconnet the plug. I then slid the unit out. The new ice maker did not come with the plastic sled that was attached to the old unit. I removed and attached the sled to the new unit with 3 screws.

I just followed the instructions that came with the unit, it was very easy. The old ice maker was taken out some time ago, so all I had to do was install the new one. It was three screws and one electrical plug. I removed the ice maker over a year ago and did not replace it at the time. I purchaced new handles also and they were easy to replace. I then decided to try the ice maker, I got tired of buying ice at the store. The order came in just two days right to my front door. It was a very easy fix and now I have a refrigerator full of ice. I took out the old socket by moving a clip. Reattached the electrical wires, clicked in the socket and that was it.

The Video on U tube was helpful. I have a side by side model and it was difficult to work in such tight quarters to attach the new part . I found that by removing the cable assembly it was much easier to attach (cut and crimp) the new part on the outside , then reinsert the assembly. The new part resolved my problem. Don't panic when you try and remove the cable assembly. Hope this is helpful.
