I removed all of the cover screws and then had to defrost the coils. Once i had that done I undid the 3 scres holding the coil in place. Took out the old heater part and replaced it. The hardest partof the whole project is trying to avoid getting cut on the coil fins. Put it back together and all has been well.

Ice maker wouldn't eject the ice often enough. After reading a few other stories, I just ordered the universal ice maker from Part Select. All I had to do was remove some of the plastic shrouds from my old ice maker and put them on the new one. I also reused my mounting brackets. The whole job took me 20 minutes.

I just followed the instructions that came with the unit, it was very easy. The old ice maker was taken out some time ago, so all I had to do was install the new one. It was three screws and one electrical plug. I removed the ice maker over a year ago and did not replace it at the time. I purchaced new handles also and they were easy to replace. I then decided to try the ice maker, I got tired of buying ice at the store. The order came in just two days right to my front door. It was a very easy fix and now I have a refrigerator full of ice. The instructions are practically no help, but if you study the diagram, you can figure out the one screw you need to remove. Then the icemaker lift off of two brackets. I couldn't see how to use a screwdriver to unlock the bracket, but just applying mild pressure and pulling it forward brought it right out. I didn't have to change anything with the plug already intalled so it was very easy to pop in, lock the plug, pop into brackets, replace screw and I was in business. 24 hours later I had a bucket of ice! 15 minutes to figure out how to get old out and 5 min to replace new one. Fairly easy. Read posts here to get hints!

Removed the screws and disconnected the electric. I put the proper electric harness on and went to fit the unit in but it didn't fit. Until I figured out that you have to use the clips from the old unit that hold the unit in place. The actually hang on them. Once I figured it out it was easy.

removed three screws pluged it in and it was ready to go. I must add That I ordered it one day and received it the next day by fed ex. I could not believ how fast the service was also the new icemaker is working great. I will order any furture parts I need from Parts Select. Also have given your web site ot several other people. Got on line with Partselect and follow their directions. It was very easy.

Unplugged refrigerator and turned off water supply. Loosened two top screws and removed bottom screw. Althought kit was supplied with multyple wiring harnesses the harness attached to unit was the correct harness for the model I was replacing. Removed and reused old shut off arm as replacement arms were shorter in reach then original. Also reused bottom unit support that was removed and replaced with one screw into unit and then into side wall of freezer. Over all time less then 15 minutes. As this was a side by side ref/freezer unit their us limited space to view support screws. I used a mechanics mirror to find upper screws. This visualization made the process go much faster. Reading the other repair stories also gave me a huge confidence boost and insite in what to expect.

I just removed the unit and replaced the mold/'heater with the new one and re-installed. It was very easy and didn't have to turn off the refer. or empty the frozen food.
However , there were not instruction that came with the mold/heater unit. I had no problem but other do-in-uselfers may need some basic instructons

I loosened the two screws on which the ice makers hangs and removed the third screw toward the back. I lifted the icemaker a bit and removed the part and unplugged the unit at rear. I reversed the process to install the new one. All very simple.

At first nothing happened, no water filling the tray. I thought there must be some other problem. A few hours later I heard ice being dumped into the ice container. I don't understand the delay but it works fine.

I removed the icemaker. One screw at the bottom and then unplug the electric. Remove the old motor from the face that has 3 screws holding it. Put the new motor in. A very simple job. I now have a full ice bin by the next morning.

The bearing & cup assembly was broken and the gears in the drive assy were stripped. Unfortunately I couldn't find anywhere to buy the gears without buying the entire motor assy with the gear box already on it. Cost was up to $85 with shipping but at least it now works fine.

To repair: a 1/4 nut driver will take off screw below ice maker and all you need to do is loosen the 2 screws above the ice maker then push it upward slightly and it will slide off the top 2 screws. Then pull the power connector off from behind the ice maker at the side of the refridge. Then pull straight out and it will slide off the water fill tube. Now with unit out of refridge I took the cover off the front of the ice maker and removed the 3 philip screws. I then pulled the motor/gear assy off from the chassis of the ice maker. I then had to remove the 2 philip screws on the chassis (under the motor/gear assy) to remove the cube maker/element from the chassis. This allowed me to remove the rotating cube spatula bar to replace the filler cup/bearing assy. Then I reinstalled the spatula bar and the 2 philip scews on the chassis to the cube maker/element assy. I then installed the new motor/gear assy to the chassis and installed the 3 remaining philip screws. Put the cover back on the ice maker and inserted assy back into the refridge by first reattaching the power connector and then sliding backward onto the water fill tube and then slipping over the top of the 2 top screws on the refridge. Then I installed the screw below the ice maker and tightened all 3. Presto - repair done in 30 minutes and perfect cubes were spitting out within the hour.

I removed the 2 screws on top and the one screw underneath holding the Ice Maker to the wall of freezer.I pulled the electrical connection from the wall next (wiggled it back and forth until it came out).
I matched it up to the picture from this site and ordered the replacement unit.
When it arrived, it had a lot of extra parts to match up to mine and any other fridge.
A good tip is to keep the old unit so you can configure the new unit the same. Although it was easy, this took me the longest of the entire job. Once this was done, it took me !0 minutes to plug the new unit into my fridge and then attach it back to the wall with the 3 screws.Not a hard job.Thanks

Replaced the control of the ice maker assembly.

First I turned off water supply. Then removed the two screws that attach ice maker, then disconnected the wiring harness.

Attached new ice maker in reverse order.
