watched the video how to remove, and did it.

Pulled out old switch with needle nose pliers, unplugged old switch and plugged in the new one and snapped back into place. Very easy to repair. Took less than 10 minutes

googled the model of ice maker and refrigerator, ordered replacement ice maker from Part Select. Received next day, installed it in 10 minutes and it worked like a charm.

Pried out the old switch with small screwdriver, popped in the new one and tah-dah!! ..the light came on. While I was at it, I cleaned out the freezer :). I cannot begin to imagine what a repairman would have charged for this.

I removed a few items from the freezer to make room. Husband took out the old ice maker. (We were sure it would require moving the refrigerator out which would have been a huge undertaking given the tight fit) To start he simply replaced the ice maker with the new one. I started watching...and even though it says that it will take up to 24 hours to make ice, it began making ice probably within an hour! After about 6 batches, I threw those out. (just in case there was anything in the line that would contaminate the cubes)It is obvious that the old one had not worked properly for a long time! The ice container is full to almost over-flowing! It has not been this full in a very long time, as I use ice every day! Simple fix! And might I add...LIGHTNING FAST DELIVERY!! It was here in two days! We are thrilled!!!!!

I watched your repair video, read the instruction enclosed with the icemaker and made the repair in about 15-20 minutes. There is an issue that others need to be aware of once the water pump is repaced and the tubing is connected and the icemaker is installed and turned back on; it take 20-30 minutes to pump the air out of the line and the for the water to actually fill the the fill tray (you made the install correctly, the delay in filling is not covered by either the video or the book just be patience don't disconnect and reconnect anything it will eventually fill and make ice and less than 48 hours). This vendor offers 4 star customer service at a fair and resonable price (I priced the parts separately prior to purchase and the kit is the way to go). I received the product within 3 days, shipped groung delivery. I would use your products and online service advice for installation on other appliances in the future if needed. Temperature in freezer too cold. Temperature display showed higher temperature than actual which caused the freezer to continually run. Thermister is found behind a white box on wall in freezer. Unscrew the box from wall and easily disconnect the thermistor clamp. Replace in reverse order.

Used the butter knife to pry the old switch out, it is a snap in switch so there is a small keeper on the bottom that needs to be pushed in to pop the switch out. Un hooked wires by pulling them off of the terminals (won't shock you) and put them on the new switch and popped it in

Popped out the old one......plugged in the new one and popped it back into place. My wife was happy in have light again in the fridge!

Initially thought I could repair switch, but then discovered spring was broken. Ordered the new switch (Parts Select is very efficient - received switch in 3 days). Was encouraged by the posts regarding the switch installation. I had some difficulty removing the old switch. Used a pocket knife to ease the switch out of the hole to reveal the clip/spring. After noting the clip/spring location I used a small flat-blade screwdriver to release the clip. Even though I released the "molded" clip/spring(be sure to note where the spring is on the new switch and release it on the switch it was tight in the hole and had to use pliers to carefully remove the old switch. After removing the old switch, used pliers to gently remove the wire leads. Then install the leads on the new switch. Note the orientation for replacing the switch and gently feed the connecting wires into the hole so they won't kink or prevent the switch from entering the hole. Install the switch noting the clip/spring location and the orientation of the lever that the door closes on to turn off the light. Be sure to put it in without binding at an angle. Unplugged appliance. Using a small putty knife I moved the switch out far enough to grab it with pliers. Moved wiring to new switch and pushed into place after testing.

Removed the old one and installed the new one

Removed old water filter by simply twisting the the cap that houses it at the bottom of the refrigerator and replaced with new water filter. No fuss, no muss! Very impressed. Also, I was quite pleased to have received the water filter that was designed specifically for the whirlpool model that I own. I expected to receive some generic-type model based upon the reasonable price that I paid. Kudos to partselect!

Simply removed the old icemaker and replaced it with the new one. Reqires removing 3 hex head screws and wiring harness, then reconnecting the new unit.

only tools needed were my husbands hands. easily removed old filter and replaced with new one.
