Ice maker stopped working. Thought it might be the timer. Actually teflon coating coming off.
Removed the ice maker. Used a small mirror (wife's make up mirror) to find the screws. Inspected and found most teflon coating missing. Ordered new ice maker and installed. Works perfect.

freezer constantly covered with ice not defrosting
I opened rear wall inside freezer (two screws) cut the wires on old thermostat and removed it. Then I attatched the new thermostat to the existing wires using wire nuts and electrical tape and slid it onto the copper tubing. Re-installed the rear wall. Freezer works like a charm and the refridgerator is also colder. Job completed in twenty minutes and Tim Allen has nothing on me. Mike Milne

shelf bracket broken and gone
I tried to pull out the wire that was sticking out of the side of the 'fridge with the pliers, however I could not get it to come out so I just pushed it in. I then put the new shelf bracket in the opening and set the shelf on it. It was easy.

Leakiong water from the freezer compartment into the lower refrigeration compartment
After unplugging the appliance, I unscrewed the screws in the bottom and the back of the freezer compartment and un-clipped the connector for the ice machine, which i do not have installed. I clipped the pink and brown wires and replace the switch with the new switch. unfortunately, the appliance is still dripping water from the freezer compartment. It worked for a couple of days then stopped working. Still looking for a true FIX.

refrigerator not cooling properly
Replaced refrigerator cooling control. No luck. Replaced freezer cooling control. No luck. Coils were icing up. Unplugged frig and allowed coils to defrost. After more poking around, found that condenser fan was not spinning. Touch it and it'd start. That was definitely in need of replacement. Replacement was easy. Refrigerator is now running as it should.

ice maker Going out , Broken ice bin dispenser
Old ice maker was beyond repair.I replace it with a new one.Removal and installation about 30 min.It was nice to know that there was video on line if needed. The ice bin problem was in the crusher, cube feed area.It took me about 30min.to take it apart. And 40min. to put it back together. All part fit and is working prefect.I must say the feed screw has a reverse thread, this could be of help.PARTS SELECT, prices and service was very good.I give them 4 out of 4 stars

The light would not turn on when the refrigerator door was opened
I removed the plastic portion to get to the switch and wires. I removed the old switch by disconnecting the two wires and pushing it out of its setting.
I discovered the old switch only had 2 prongs where the new switch had 3. Once I figured which 2 of the 3 prongs would light the lightbulb,
I then connected the two wires to the correct prongs of the new switch. I pushed the new switch into its setting and replaced the plastic portion on the refrigerator. Voila, success. The refrigerator door now comes on when its door is opened.
Thanks for the having the part and getting it at our door step in 3 days.

Water Inlet Valve
The installation was very easy.
Unplug the refrigerator.
Turn off the water supply and disconnect from the old valve.
Remove the old valve and disconnect power connectors for each valve, disconnect the Ice maker water tube and the Water dispenser tube.
Because of the new replacement part, I needed to cut the threaded connectors off of the water tubes. Carefully make straight cuts.
Insert the tubes into the correct inlet valves, make sure they are inserted properly, 1 for ice maker, 1 for water dispenser.
Connect the power connectors to the new valve.
Mount the valve onto the refrigerator.
Connect the water supply.
Turn on the water supply valve. Check for leaks.
Plug in the refrigerator.
Test water dispenser and then ice making capabilities.
Seems like a lot of steps, but they are logically connected for this repair. Easy replacement.

stopped making ice
I looked up the PartSelection website. Found the parts from the sketches of units and reviewed the videos on repairs. Then I ordered the parts, altho I ordered the complete unit, instead of the control block that said was problem 59% of time. Following instructions replaced the ice maker. Then took apart the auger in the basket and thought I had an incomplete part, but upon closer inspection forund out it was correct. My only problem was that there was no instructions on how to get the block off end of shaft. Tried to impact it off, but by accident found out it screwed off. Then final repair went fast. Parts came fast and overall VERY happy with parts and repairs. They are heavier than original parts so should last longer.

Ice would not dispense from the door
Removed ice bucket and discovered the auger drum was broken.
After I received the new part, I removed the front screws of the ice bucket, removed the clip that held the auger and other parts together, and then slide each part off the auger until I got to the broken drum.
Assembly was in reverse except you must pay attention where all the spacers and ice crusher bars go back into the original position. This was the most difficult step.
Works great now, crushed and cubed ice dispenses thru the door like new.
