Water Fill Cup Broke
The Ice maker unit had to be removed and the shaft had to also be removed, which required dis-assembling the motor drive. The thickness of the shaft and the bearing fill cup prevents it from simply pushing it in place. Other than that I have Ice.

Would Not Cool
I removed the panel to gain access to the condenser and found it to be a solid block of ice. I ordered the 2 parts, I suspected and they arrived in 3 days. I replaced the parts and let it run for 48 hours. All is well and the frige gets colder than before.

Auger in the ice tray not turning
Removed ice container, replaced end cap that holds Auger shaft that connects to shaft that turns the Auger. End cap plastic nubs wear where it makes contact to the turning stub. Removing a few screws on the front of ice container allows the Auger shaft to slide forward and away from the end cap. Maneuver end cap from shaft, replace using same maneuver and that is it.
Pretty easy, even for a novice like me. A $6.00 end cap verses the whole assembly at around $70.00
I'm pleased.......

Ice maker made no ice
After taking apart the ice maker, the only obvious replacement was the motor assembly. I check various Internet sites and found the best price at PartSelect.
I removed the ice maker from the freezer after turning off the ice make switch. Removal was easy with only one screw holding in the entire assembly. The ice maker has rails that allow it to slide in and out like a drawer.
After R/R the motor assembly and returning the ice make to the freezer all that remiand was to see if it worked.
Within 10 minutes I had the wonderful sound of water filling the ice maker tray. Within 30 minutes of that, ICE!!!
Shopping, ordering and shipping of the part was fast and efficient. I'll go with PartSelect for all my future appliance needs.

Water overflowing ice maker
Removed the 3 screws that hold the ice maker in place and remove the cover and level wire. Put the cover and wire on new part and install the 3 screws. Had ice within 1 hour. A very easy job for the do it yourselfer. Suspect the heat coil that melts the cubes was not working in the old unit and cubes stayed in the tray.

Coil would freeze up, then refer would get warm.
I replaced the defrost timer, and then the defrost thermostat. I diagnosed these two items because it would get cold/freeze great for about 12-24 hours and then would start to warm back up. I pulled the cover off that covers the evaporator coil and found it to be frosted up. This told me that the defrost timer probably wasn't working properly. Decided to replace the defrost thermostat while I was in there as a precaution. It was much much cheaper than having to replace a side by side!!

Water would not dispense and fridge/freezer began to warm
The defrost circut stopped working which caused the coils to frost over stopping the blower and freezing the water line. Take everything out of the freezer, remove lower back pannel held in by around 8 screws inside the freezer. The thermostat was attached to the upper right coil. It clips on to the coil. Wires attach to the fan and defrost heater. A pair of wires runs out through a hole. These wires are to measure thermostat. It will read 0 ohms when frozen. Rremove and replace the thermostat. The defrost heater should read around 25 ohms. Remove the bottom grill. It pops off. The box in the middle houses the defrost timer. Remove the 2 screws holding the box to the chasis and then remove the defrost timer screws... Before buttoning everythigng up, plug the fridge in to the power and wait for about an hour. The fan in the freezer just above the coils should be running and circulating cool air through the fridge and freezer. Depending on how long your freezer was unplugged, the water should be thawed enough to dispense water again.

Water began leaking from the valve that supplies water to the ice maker.
Shut off the water supply at the wall then using a 1/4" nut driver I removed the steel and cardboard backing plates from the rear of the refrigerator. Disconnect the main water supply hose and then the two water lines for the chilled water dispenser and ice maker. Remove the two screws on a support bracket which holds the valve in place.
Reassembly in reverse order.
The process was very easy and took no longer than 15 minutes and works just like new. This is a good time to do some thorough cleaning around the fan and coils to keep them working properly as well.

Icemaker not making ice
For the icemaker, I removed the ice tray and loosesned the two attaching screws(1/4"). I removed the lower bracket and then removed the ice dispenser motor cover below the ice maker. This made it easier to remove the wiring harness. After removing the icemaker from the refrigerator, I swapped out the wiring harness and ice detector bracket (wire bail that swings). Hooked things back up and went on to the water valve. All in all about 15 minutes and pretty easy.
For the ice valve, you must turn off the water supply, disconnect the power plug and move the refrigerator away from the wall. (Now's a good time to clean out under and behind the unit!) Remove the valve from the base with the 1/4" nut driver. Remove the inlet line(standard hose fitting).Have a sponge handy. Remove and replace the new valve in the bracket by popping the clip off and on the new one. Replace one outlet line and electrical connection at a time (easier to keep track of). Replace unit on base and check for leaks before replacing refrigerator. Other than cleaning, the task took about 20 min. and was simple. The cleaning, on the other hand...

Water running through dispenser
Tried to repair existing valve which I have succesfully done many times by cleaning and removing grit from internal neoprene parts until new parts received. Was not successful. New valve worked perfectly. this is only 2nd repair needed on this ref. since new. 1st was defrost timer. Ice maker hasn't missed a lick since new.
