It snapped in place.

Took less than 10 min to install following the inclosed instructions. At first it was not making enough ice to make me happy so I set the temp. a little colder in freezer. Now making ice like crazy. Works better than the old one ever did. Very happy with the new replacement.

I noticed that the two gears weren't meshing together so upon inspection I saw that one of the gears had an inner piece missing making it weak so it kept popping out away from the other great. I ordered the new gear and unscrewed the old one off and put the new one on. So easy. It made Ice beautiful after that

I followed the video that came with my email receipt but i had to use the extra electrical adapter, there is no where to put the extra wiring so it is hanging next to the wall. I was glad I didn't have to unplug the fridge. just kept the wire up so no water would come out. It took several hours to start working and it doesn't make as much ice as the old one, but at least it works. It was a very informative video. Thanks

We reviewed the video posted on your site for guidance. It was very helpful to see someone do the repair. The project went just as described in the video. Within 24 hours I had a full bin of ice!

The "repair" itself was only a replacement of a glass shelf but I just wanted to say that I ordered this part mid-day wednesday and when I got home from work thursday night it was on my deck, I was shocked. Also it was glass and was very securely packaged Great job parts direct.

simply snap R end cap into R slot in door, then slide one end of retainer bar into R end cap, other end of retainer bar into L end cap, then snap L end cap into L slot in door.

I went to the internet to find the replacement glass and shocked at some of the prices....I found PartSelect.com on a blog and the prices were nearly 50% less than the other suppliers. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong part the first time and had to send it back but after speaking to a Customer Service Rep, I got the right part ordered, recieved it two days later and "voila"....fit perfectly....I so grateful to PartSelect.com for their assistance and the pricing is fabulous..

We bought our house and the lower glass shelf in our refrigerator was missing. We lived without the shelf for almost two years figuring it would be a pain to look up the part and replace it on an older fridge. 1st my 72 year old husband has not had great success in repairing anything: electrical or plumbing. We got the part the next day. Had ordered it late one afternoon and had it the next morning in Wyoming. From the time we took it out of the box, disconnected the old one, plugged in the new one, remounted, it took less than 15 minutes. Amazing and it works great. Didn't need extra electrical connector, but tricky part on electrical connectors is to squeeze side to take apart and put back together. He used mirror to see the screws to loosen to take out and put back in ice maker. Next day our tray was full of ice. Good service/Good Product.

moved freezer items to right of icemaker,loosen two nuts lifted icemaker over nuts,squeezed and pulled cable out turned over marked L bracket screw with marker for location plugged cable in tighten screws,made ice in 2 1/2 hours john

Tested for power and found the thermal cut-off bad. Installed new one.

1) Remove glass from shipping Container. 2) Using fingers, place glass ever so gingerly in the shelf tray. 3) Pour a glass of wine to celebrate.

Very EASY!! just unpack, wash, and place into slots above crisper doors. A child could do this.

instructions were very simple. Took about 10 minutes to replace the unit. Do NOT get excited about immediate ice because it took mine awhile to g et cranked up for full production. Anyone can do this! Saves about $150.00 in labor to have someone(no smarter than you) do it for you.
