Ice build-up in freezer; gasket needed replacing
It is easier to remove the door, put towels over the goods in the freezer and put the door on a flat surface. Pry up the old gasket gently; it just snaps in, so don't worry. Snap in the new gasket, screw the door back on, and you're set to go. We were scared at first, but it's really a simple operation.

Freezer built ice, fridge not cold enough and running constantly.
Removed front low grill, removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the wires. Reversed process to install new timer.

Frige and freezer not cooling
I should have ordered start kit instead of start capacitor. The start cap astir did not fix problem so I ordered kit. Compasator comes as part of kit. Followed enclosed instructions. Cut existing wires and reconnected new wiring. Simple as that. It's a plug in item. Now worried it may be working to good. Freezer down to 10 deg. Watching to see if compressor is running to long. Seems ok lol. Wife hates me now. She wanted new frige.

The gasket was torn and missing some chunks in some areas.
I did not believe the other posts about how easy this was because that is not at all how any project goes for me. I was wrong. The original gasket slid out of the lip around the door and the new one went back on in less than 5 minutes. It has made a HUGE difference in the performance of the fridge. It did take 2 or 3 days for the gasket to fully conform to the fridge itself, but there was still a good seal during that time.
