i followed the online instructions on how to take the icemaker apart, which were very easy to follow. Once the new part arrived it plugged right in and a few steps later it was back together. within the hour we were hearing the sound of ice dropping into the tray. thanks for all the help this definitely saved us money and hopefully we get many more years out of this icemaker.

I removed the icemaker. One screw at the bottom and then unplug the electric. Remove the old motor from the face that has 3 screws holding it. Put the new motor in. A very simple job. I now have a full ice bin by the next morning.

Replaced the control of the ice maker assembly.

Remove 3 screws, took top hinge out, fz door and inserted shim...done.

I Removed 3 screws, pulled off the plate and put the new one on, screwed in 3 screws and away I went. I could not believe how easy it was to order the part and how quickly it arrived. I was very pleased. And I was literally screaming with excitement when I heard the first set of ice cubes drop!

I played the install video a couple of times to assure myself that it was that easy. The video indicated that I actually had to remove the ice maker it install the motor module but in my case I did not really have to. I simply pulled off the plastic cover plate, removed the 3 phillips head screws and exhanged the new module for the old one. I turned the power and water back on and waited for something to happen...nothing did! After about 15 minutes and no noticeable electric or water flow activity I pulled the refrigerator out away from the wall to check the incoming water line and suddenly I heard water flow to the icemaker and within the next hour I had my 1st batch of cubes. Since then everything appears to be working and we have ice cubes for Christmas. All in all it was a pretty easy and inexpensive fix and probably saved me well over a $100.

Installed new motor control

Removed and disconnected the icemaker, cleaned all areas and disassembled the failed parts. Reassembled with the new parts inlcuded with the purchased package and resinstalled the unit. Started the unit and chedked for proper operation. Successful repair.

I was amazed when Fed Ex pulled up to our front door the following day after I ordered the parts, I was wondering what they were delivering and to my amazement it was the parts I had ordered from parts select the previous day , thank you so much , you are awesome. My 73 year old husband who is a 5 year cancer survivor had the part installed and we were ready to start making ice within 1 hour.He went by the installation information sent in by your customers. ****Make are you order Capacitor & Starter relay too (we ordered separtely so had to pay shipping twice)**** Super easy just open access panel on back near compressor and remove retention clip with fingers, remove & replace both capacitor & starter, put clip and access panel back on, plug in and allow 8 hours to cool! Works like new again! Hope it goes another 10 years

Took the front of the ice maker off. Noticed the arm inside was broken, found the part on your site and ordered it.....super fast delivery. Replace the moter assembly and off she went. had ice in about 30 minutes. Thanks for your services and I will highly recommend you to others......Thanks again.

first i removed 1 screw, then pulled out the ice maker, unpluged the electrical wire, i removed the white plastic cover , then an additional 3 screws . i pulled off the ice maker control . replaced with new ice maker control. i repeated the steps to put back the ice maker ...so
super quick part delivery !!!

Removed the control and motor assembly by removing the plastic cover and three screws. Shut off the power to the refrigerator while removing the control and motor assembly (and also when installing the new one). Tested the motor using an AC power cord. The motor had apparently failed. Ordered the repair part and installed it taking care that the motor drive shaft and shut off arm were correctly aligned. The icemaker began to work properly when power was restored. The cost of this repair was about half the cost of replacing the entire icemaker.
