took glass out ..put new rail piece in took 2 minutes

I had to remove the 2 drawers, naturally, but then found I also had to remove the glass shelf and bracket that holds them, because the end of the center rail had broken off and stuck in the recess of the shelf. No problem. Washed the shelf and the end piece fell out, eliminating the need for pliers or tweezers. Put the new center rail in place, replaced the shelf, replaced the 2 crisper drawers and, "voila" - good as new (until next time some big, strong guy slams the crisper drawer). Thanks for quick delivery; I don't often get in the mood to fix things, so when I do it's nice the part arrives before my fixing-muse flies away.

The repair was easy ... but this Part Select will be my favorite forever!! The people on the phone were awesome ... the part came immediately ... and we couldn't be happier!!!

The rail had broken off, so there was nothing to remove, except the crisper drawers. I had called an amana repair service and the repairman told the part was about $9 and the cost to install was $127. When I almost fainted, he told me I could probably do it myself. Wow, was he right! I ordered the part, it came in about 2 days, I looked at the rail, removed the glass shelf, hooked the rail into the little opening at the back, and bang! All done. It took me 10 seconds!!

I took out the drawers, glass, and crisper frame and slid in the center crisper bar. I ordered 2 because it looks like the bar could easily break again!

Removed the glass shelf, position the rail in its slots and replaced the glass shelves.

Followed easy instruction video. It was like new in fifteen minutes.

Removed both crispers and shelf . Inserted new rail as explained in video. Replaced everything.

Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discoloring refer handles. Thank you

Dropped down the front control panel were you program the the tempertures when you open the doors. This just pops down from the front. Then change out the printed cicuit broad two wires all done.

Unplug the refrigerator and pull it out so you can work behind it.I had to get a helper to lean the refrigerator forward and let it rest on a towel I placed on the countertop. The tray was underneath the refrigerator near the back so I leaned it forward enough to remove the metal plate that holds the tray in place. I placed a scotch behind the front wheels to keep it from rolling backward off the counter it was resting on. I had to remove the cover from the unit on the lower back side of the refrigerator to see how the tray was moumted. Once you remove the plate you have to slide the fan off the tray and then you can remove the tray. Simply reverse the whole process to install the new tray, upright the refrigerator and plug it back in to the outlet.

Refrigerator completely quit due to suspected power surge as a result of daily afternoon thunderstorms. Quit means compressor would not run, LED temperature controls would not light, but fan continued working. First, replaced Start Relay & Capacitor located attached to compressor. This was successful and compressor immediately started. However, Refrigerator controls at Electronic Control Board (ECB)failed to light up indicating no control over over unit. Replaced ECB and unit lit up and control established. The Start Relay & Capacitor are slightly difficult to find as they are black in color and merge into the base of the compressor. It helps to be flexible to remove and replace this unit due to it's difficult location. The ECB is easy to access as it is top inside front behind lights of unit. Plastic housing simply unsnaps for easy removal. Instructions do not tell you to make sure that you re-install the upper narrower control board with press pins toward outside of control face. A simple item but easily overlooked as one has to "pull" at the connecting cable of the two control boards. Success finally after three days. Parts Select was great and item shipped quickly. As a contractor, one can usually figure cost of job at three times the cost of the part. This repair would have approached $600. Cost of parts was $200. Savings were substantial and would recommend DIY provided you have time.

Thanks for the control board. However, it arrived in two days not overnight, UPS noted on their tracking site the error was their own. Also, the part did not come with installation instructions or programming instructions. Found on youtube a video that described in detail the programming procedure: . . . . . very helpful.

I watch a widea on part select 'how to do that' and was relly very easy to repleace a part. The delivery was next day. They are triting customers very serious and professionals. I'll recomended part select for all my friedds with similar problems. Thank you.

It was so simple! Removed the glass shelf that sits atop the vegetable bins, inserted the center crisper rail, put the glass shelf back on top of it and replaced the vegetable bins. I loved that I didn't have to bother my husband to do it! Very happy at how fast the part came after I ordered it.
