Pop off six mounting screws and the ground screw. Remove the fan blade and reattach. Reinstall. Save yourself big bucks.

We found the part number on the broken portion of the old part, googled Kenmore refrigerator parts, found your site, and plugged the part number in. The picture looked right, so we ordered the part, which arrived in about two days. We removed the old broken pieces from the fridge, cleaned up the glue the previous owners had tried to fix with, assembled the handle, screwed on the new part and it was as good as new. The old freezer handle was a little bit bent, so it didn't fit snugly. We were able to shim up the back of it so everything looks great. You're bookmarked for our next appliance repair! This repair was done by a 23-year-old new condo owner--her first appliance project!

First I removed all the screws from the back cover.
2nd removed fan nut and fan blade
3rd removed fan bracket
4th I traced wire to the condenser and disconnected wires from wire nuts.
Installed existing fan brackets to new motor kit
then reconnected wire nuts to new motor cord
Reinstalled fan nut and blade,
reinstalled cover, plugged it in and BAM .WORKS PERF!

figured out the condenser fan was kaput. Tried WD, worked for several days then gave out completely. Took off back of fridge and trained small fan on compressor while I ordered new condenser fan. The swap was easy, undid the housing bolts, stripped off the connector, reconnected and voila! works perfect.

I hand screwed the fill tube into the water tube and stuck it into the freezer hole. I screwed the fill tube to the back of the refrigerator.

use kitchen knife to pry out. replaced switch assemble and pressed back into place. Could not have done this with out help from previous customers. Thanks

I got the product very quickly. (thank you) Looked at online instructions that were quite vague. Pulled plug.Removed the holder for the fan motor slid it out to see what I had. Removed the mounting screws (3) and slid the motor an fan blade out. I made a cut between the wires and marked the "top" wire to motor to be sure to spin in right direction. Removing fan blade hold down clamp was NOT explained at all but I noted that the shaft on the motor was threaded, so I used pliars and held the shaft white un-screwing clamp. I cleaned the fan blades with degreaser and scraped edges of opening on holder opening. Make sure to use ALL the NEW parts included with this kit when re-installing. They send them for a reason. When slpicing and connecting wires it is a 50/50 shot if you don't mark before cutting. You can connect and try plugging fridge back for moment and make sure it is blowing OUT. Put everything back together and after turning DOWN the thermostats twice, fridge is back to usual. Ice maker is cranking out ice and outside case is cool to the touch.

Note: This can be a DIRTY job especially with 4 dogs in house. Fir and grease don't mix well

My fridge did not have icemaker add on. The evap fan is in the freezer behind the back panel. Empty the freezer section (into a cooler) and turn the fridge off. Remove all the shelves in freezer section. Remove the shelf support tabs by lifting them up. use phillips head screwdiver to remove back panel in freezer section. Use nut driver to remove fan shroud. Remove old fan and save the mounting arms. Install mounting arms on new fan and install fan. Install shroud, back panel, shelf mounts and shelves. Thats it!

Unplug, turn off water supply, carefully remove lower back cardboard cover, unscrew old valve mount, lay towel down, disconnect the three water lines, modify provided “L” bracket by drilling a hole outboard of one of the slots to match/fit the wider original mount holes on the refrigerator’s bottom pan, screw top/short end of bracket to valve, cut back the two clear lines about 1/2” for a “fresh” end, connect all three lines, position valve and secure with original screws (access is tight, used small 1/4” wrench), turn on water/check for leaks, install back lower cardboard, plug in and verify function.

Initial problem was water not entering the icemaker. Replacing the valve assembly did not solve the problem. Further investigation revealed the inflow tube to he icemaker had frozen water in it. Cleaned the ice our and water flowed a bit but not enough to fill the tray. Still investigating the problem.

The wire plugs on the replacement part were in different orientations and the tubing connections were push-in versus the original threaded compression type. The repair kit did come with numerous additional tubes and brackets, but there were no instructions for their use. The slots on what looked like a mounting bracket adapter were not on the same centers as my original mount so I could only use one of the mounting holes - which should be OK since it is not under a lot of load after installation. I cut 3/4" off each of the outlet hoses to get a fresh, round hose end and installed the appropriate metal hose supports in the hose ends before shoving them into the push-in fittings. The size differences in the small, sheet metal internal hose supports are subtle, so be sure to double check them before installation. Be sure to press the hoses in fully or you will have a mess on your hands when you turn on the water (ask me how I know). I had to do some small re-routing of the wires to connect to the new wire connector locations (the wires were long enough). The inlet water connection was the same as original (screw on compression). I had no issues with that. After installation I actuated door water several times to make sure the press-in fittings would not work loose. I also monitored ice machine to make sure no leaks after several actuations. The differences in the original and replacement part were a little intimidating at first, but it can be made to work. 4 weeks so far and no issues, Very happy that a replacement part was available for my 21 year old fridge.

removed old and instaslled new. biggest problem was getting to one of the screws.

I pulled the socket out and unplugged the wires. I replaced the light socket by plugging in the wires and snapping the light socket into place. A very simple fix.

Pried out old part with screwdriver. Unplugged. When new part came, just plugged it in and pushed the part into place.

Followed video and had one problen, the metal pipe would not release as shown,so I used a hacksaw between the plastic and metal pipe, removing the metal pipe from inside as the video shows. Good instructions.
