freezer will not freeze or cool the ice box
I have replaced the circuit board, the condenser fan motor but the unit still will not feeze correctly. The bottom of the unit freezes but just barely cools the rest of the freezer and ice box. Have you got any other advice that might help. This is a side by side unit. What else could be the problem. It seems that the fan is not working correctly or it is stuck in defrost mode. The coils where the fan is seem to be icing up but it will not let the fan work. THanks for your help, David Wilson

Ice maker stopped working after less than six months
After checking all connections I determined the ice maker which had been replaced on 01/2007 stopped making ice. I had serviceman from a local company return and check the ice maker. He rinsed the ice maker under warm water, melting the ice build-up and re-installed the ice maker. I watched him do the re-installation, then waited for two days to see if the ice maker was functioning. Since the ice maker wasn't working, I called the serviceman, who in turn informed me that the replacement ice maker had increased in price from $170.00 to $274.00. That is when I contacted your web site, ordered the replacement ice maker.
I was totally amazed and pleased by the fast,
easy, and efficient way my order was processed and the ice maker was delivered.
I followed the instructions included with the ice maker, and installed the replacement ice maker in about 20 minutes. I can't thank you enough for the great service. I only wish I had checked my computer after the first ice maker broke down and found your web site.

Refrig Door Cams wore out and made noises when opening and closing.
Followed Door Removal instructions by removing the Top Screws from the Cabinet. Lifted Door OFF the Metal Hinge. Unscrewed both Lower and Upper Cams from the Hinge and Door. Replaced with new after coating with Vasoline. Lifted Door back in place with help from Wife. Only problem was guiding the Door back onto the Hinge. Works fine. Two year old Frig. This is a design problem, as the cams should last longer than 22 months.

No tempersture control, it was either onand freezing or off and hot.
A simple job to remove the plastic cover held by two screws. Then one screw which held the old controller frame. Then remove two screws which held controller. Putting it back was just the reverse.
I did not have to adjust the new control position but with the wrench in the kit it would have been no trouble to do that either.
The instructions were just fine and anyone with a little mechanical knowledge could do it

Ice maker would not work.
I replaced the dual outlet valve and deiced the filler tube going to the ice maker. I removed the filler tube and ran hot water on it. I believe the old filler valve was leaking letting water slowly into the filler tube where it eventually froze solid.

door would not stay closed
Removed the top plastic hinge cover, remove (2) bolts from top hinge. Lifted door up and off of lower hinge, removed both halves of door cam, replaced cam halves and re-installed door. Super easy and effective. Door now opens and closes (stays closed) properly.

In the ice storm in bootheel of Mo the power spiked a few times before it went off. When power came back on, my frige wouldn't stay working. I would have to touch the thermostat to make it cycle back on. Found exact parts on line at partselect needed to repair the fridge. thanks guys!
First I unplugged the appliance, then I took the two screws out that hold the cover over the temp. control knobs, then I removed the cover from the fan and thermocouple probe end. Then I unplugged the two hot wires from the thermostat, and then the ground wire. Then removed the two screws holding the thermostat in place and removed old thermostat. Installed new thermostat following steps in reverse order.

Had to bang on the Thermostat to get the compressor to kick in.
1.unplugged the refrigerator.and took off 2 knobs, and 2 screws to remove the cover from the back wall of the refrigerator.Next I unhooked 3 wires, and removed the mounting bracket by removing 1 screw. I had to use a file to slightly modify the bracket, since the thermostat was not the exact same model as the original, due to the age of the refrigerator.(40+years) I reassembled in the reverse order, and it works great

Refrigerator water nozzle broke
The nozzle of the water dispenser broke. I ordered the part which arrived the next day. I did not use the white line, only the black. I turned the water off, then I removed the screw under the broken nozzle and cut off it off from the line. I took a new screw and cut off the top with pliers, then twisted half of a screw in the old line and inserted the other half in the new line and pulled the line from the bottom corner of the refrigerator and connected it to the white line under the grid. Screwed the new nozzle back to the lever, replaced the grid and turned water on.

water leaked when the paddel was pushed
Followed the video on parts page. I was worried I would brake the cover but learned from the video the right way to remove the front plate. I found the video very informing. Thank you for saving me a service call and the part cost was minimal compared to a new refrigerator .
