The Ice maker unit had to be removed and the shaft had to also be removed, which required dis-assembling the motor drive. The thickness of the shaft and the bearing fill cup prevents it from simply pushing it in place. Other than that I have Ice.

1. Removed the icemaker door
2. Removed the two screws from the underside of the icemaker unit
3. Removed the slide-on plastic cover that protects the power cable connector
4. Removed the icemaker unit
5. Removed the two screws from the control unit
6. Pulled the control unit from the icemaker unit
7. Installed the new control unit and reinstalled the icemaker assembly

A repairman wanted to charge me $250 to do what I did in about 20 minutes for about $120.

Removed the 2 screws holding the light bulb shield, then the 4 uolding the metal panel. Unplugged the olw door switch and replaced.
reassembled the pieces.

First shut off water supply and unplug power. Unscrew icemaker assembly from side wall with 3 screws. Remove front cap and you can clearly see module. Unscrew and remove module ( only three screws). Install new module and revers procedure to finish up. Ice was ready in just a few hours. Video provided by this site was right on and left no questions.

I didn't. Don't know how to get to light bulb to change it for this specific model

I recieved the replacement part the next day after ordering it. If you are some what mechanicaly talented this repair is very simple. The only tool that is needed is a nut driver. You may want to remove the bracket holding the water solenoid vavlves. Then you can pull them out of your way to remove the 3 screws holding the fan to the bracket. Once you remove the old fan motor just reverce your steps with the new motor. Check that all your screws are tight. Check to make sure that there are no wires in the way of the fan. Don't forget to attach the wire harness and re-attach the solenoid bracket. Ahh nice and quiet like new!

Simple remove the fan and motor, plug in the new cord and screw in the new motor.

After taking apart the ice maker, the only obvious replacement was the motor assembly. I check various Internet sites and found the best price at PartSelect.

I removed the ice maker from the freezer after turning off the ice make switch. Removal was easy with only one screw holding in the entire assembly. The ice maker has rails that allow it to slide in and out like a drawer.

After R/R the motor assembly and returning the ice make to the freezer all that remiand was to see if it worked.

Within 10 minutes I had the wonderful sound of water filling the ice maker tray. Within 30 minutes of that, ICE!!!

First took all frozen food out and than undid the screws that held back on--than cut the wires that held the piece and replaced it but also found that the plug was frozen so we thawed that out, that is why it took longer. Used air compressor to blow air and it broke it free and than we finished and put the food back after it got cold. So far it is working find and to beat all we received our part the next day so my husband could fix it that weekend--Thank you for the quick respond-

Very easy to order from parts select. Took seconds to replace.

Ordered the new part, it was the perfect size and slipped right on to the existing brackets.

Open your door as far as it will go. Line it up with the plastic holder should just slide into place.

This was a simple install. I just replaced the glass shelf on the sliding shelf bracket.

Took the glass shelf out of the fridge in our rental home to clean and it just shattered in our hands. Did a search online and found part select, phoned to make sure I was looking at the correct part, the lady on the phone was very helpful. I ordered the shelf using the next day service as we were returning home to the UK within 3 days so did not want to take the chance of not receiving it before we left. I got the notification the part had been dispatched, the part was delivered early next morning. Took the shelf out the package and placed in the tray, job done!.
