Well I have to say as a HVAC contractor for 32 years this was a very easy repair for me or anyone who is not a HVAC contractor such as myself. I always like to do a little research on any repairs that I have not performed myself and the instructions and video that was available on this web site was awesome. I did this repair in less them 15 minutes removing parts and reassembly of new part. I did let ice bin sit out for about 10 minutes after I removed ice to de thaw and reach room temperature to keep from cracking frozen plastic parts.The new ice auger drum was a very nice perfect fit and was made of a much better quality plastic then the OEM that was replaced. My mother was very pleased as I did this repair for her at her home and she watched me do the repair and she is 74 years old and she commented that she could have done this repair herself after watching me and she also watched video from this web site after I mentioned it to her. I would highly recommend that if anyone needs parts for there freezer or refrigerator to buy from this web site. The price was much lower then anyplace else I could find and it was shipped to my front door in less then 2 days. Read the instructions, watched the video and followed the very clear instructions and lay out.

The disassembling and replacing the broken part went exactly as the directions.

I had already removed the ice container & realized the very end of the auger (drum) was broken. I still don't know why this part is plastic. I ordered the auger drum on Monday & received the part Wednesday morning by Fedex. I then retrieved your repair video by Steve on-line and paused it as I duplicated each step. The process was really very easy (I even surprised myself). The unit now works as it did when new. To think I went for over a month and the repair was so simple and inexpensive. Thanks also to your customer service rep who put my mind at ease that this was the correct part (My auger was totally plastic & different from the one in the illustration). He said if my model number said this part would fit, then it would and it did.

Took off all screws on box.Removed front of drawer,removed back-up to drawer and auger as one unit. Removed C-clamp on end of auger,this released all the parts. The end of the auger shaft unscrews, remove broken piece and reverse process with new part

removed the ice maker and removed all the parts to see what was needed. Only needed the drum. Very easy to do yourself and received the part very quick. Completed the job in about four days due to waiting on part. The work to take apart and put back together about one hour.

followed video instructions... only thing done differently was to tape crusher blades together before removing from shaft and added a drop of sewing machine oil to all screw sockets before replacing to reduce rusting and create greater ease of removal if further repairs needed

I took the tray out of ice maker, removed the screws holding the drum assembly. Dismantling the drum assembly careful as possible and placing the new drum on place of broken one, it still took twice to get it workable. Probably the next time I will follow the instructions a little more closely.

On the left side I unscrewed the screw and replace it with a new one . The right side in had to take s file and file of the rivet. You can use a rivet gun or a metal screw to replaced the clip. Once it is finish open the refrigerator door to see how to line the kick plate into the clip. A piece of cake.

I got the part....I put it in. That's about it.

I unplugged the unit Frist. Then I removed the grill covering the compressor and fan from the back. I then located the rear wheel and pin. I bent down the retaining tab and removed the pin and wheel. I installed new wheel and pin and bent retaining tab back to origional location. Replaced grill and checked unit for proper operation.

Pried out the old switch with small screwdriver, popped in the new one and tah-dah!! ..the light came on. While I was at it, I cleaned out the freezer :). I cannot begin to imagine what a repairman would have charged for this.

After plugging in the new relay to no avail. I replaced the thermostat. That fixed the problem.

very simple ! Just follow the instruction video on parts select . It don't get any more simple than that ! Learned a lot just watching that video . I picked up from that how to install an ice maker also . I cant believe I paid a repairman $100 last year to install an ice maker on my refrigerator either . I could have done it myself for 1/3 the cost and still had a brand new ice maker . I asked him about fixing the ice bin then he said they was no way . Said the best thing for me to do was try to find a used one would probably cost me about $100 . I think the total cost for the parts was about $30 here . And BTW takes about 2 min to change out an ice maker . I will never call another repair man to come into my house again unless they do away with the internet .
