Arrived soon than expected. Unplugged some wires, removed face plate, 3 screws--install and do reverse.

Easier than I would think---Saved $150- to have someone else do it.

Works fine.

The video of the installation was the best help I have ever had. Rather that vague written instructions that are usually so poorly written they are of no help, the video showed exactly how to do it. I wish everyone provided videos like this!

Damage to non-stick coating caused water overflow
Repair was as shown in the video except my refrigerator had screws instead of the plastic clips as shown in the video. Just had to loosen the two upper ones and remove the one lower one. All other steps were as shown in the video.

Leaking water every time ice maker fillls.
Replaced entire ice maker. Turn off water where it comes out of the wall. Loosen two top screws and remove one screw at bottom. Lift unit up and off top screws and swivel out to the right and disconnect power plug from freezer. Warning new unit does not come with: 1. Power Cable 2. Front plastic cover. 3. Wire bail. Install in reverse order Do NOT toss old unit until new one is installed and working. My came with the bottom mounting bracket bent so I just used the old one. When installing old power cable into new unit be sure to put small sensor into clip. It's part of the cable harness assembly.

Light rocker switch broke and refrigerator light couldn't go on.
I just popped out the old switch with a flat head screwdriver. Removed the connections and then installed new switch by reversing steps. Popped in back in and the light went on.

End cap was broken because previous owner stuffed too many items on the shelf.
They taped it in place. I removed the tape and the broken part and replaced it with the new part, and viola, it's like new.

The endcap had broken and I needed to replace it so that I would have that shelf available.
I watched the video and very carefully put the uncap on and the peace into the door. It was a little hard to push, but I was careful and was done in less than five minutes.

Ice Maker Stopped Working
This was a very easy fix. I took the old ice maker out, including the electrical harness. Switched the harness and stop bar to the new ice maker on my bench, then installed the new assembly. Ice initially had some hollow cubes. I checked the ice maker for level. But it was fine. Thought it might be moving too fast. But it seems to have cleared up. Perhaps it took some time to completely cool down.

Water leaked into ice bin causing big ice chunks
I disconnected power, turned off water supply, removed three hexhead screws, disconnected wiring harness plug, then reversed procedure. New icemaker seens to be a little slower in making cubes. However, the cubes are clean, perfect shape and THEY DO NOT CONTAIN ANY OF THE BLACK COATING AS THE OLD ICE MAKER CAUSED. THIS WAS A FAIRLY SIMPLE TASK.

Icemaker was leaking, leaving black chunks in ice
I simply removed the 3 screws holding the unit into the freezer with a nutdriver, then disconnected the power plug (a little hard to get to, and requires releasing a small tab in a hole in the main body). The icemaker came right out with no problem. I then had to change out the water funnel inlet because mine had a different style than the one provided on the new one. This was easy also, just remove 2 phillips head screws that are set deep in 2 holes in the face of the motor drive unit, then pull the whole assembly apart far enough to allow the ejector blades to slip out of the hole through the inlet funnel, then snap the funnel loose to move it to the new one (the same technique to be used on the new one, then re-assemble in reverse order).

No ice
Piece of cake. Removed two screws, pivoted old ice make up, lifted it out of the mounts. Installing the new one was just the reverse.

Identifying the correct replacement ice make was easy also, due to the photographs on PartsSelect.com
