Frig parts had been scavenged in an apartment complex. Restoring socket was only a matter of plugging in two spade contacts and clipping in socket.

I took out all the stuff on the shelf, and the drawers.
then I took out the shelf, pulled off the cover so I could get at the screws.
I unscrewed 2 screws, threw out the old part, and screwed the new one into the shelf.
then I put the whole thing back together, in total the hardest part was cleaning off the shelves and then putting everything back in.
As a note, there was a gasket on the old rail that was not on this one. I had some silicone tabs that I used instead, but I really think the gasket should have been part of the order.

This was very easy. Just unscrew the broken side pieces and attach the new ones. If the rubber gaskets are still in good shape, gently pull them off and attach them to the new rails. I was very impressed with the service from Partselect.com. I gave them my appliance model number and they helped me find the right part. I ordered on Sunday evening and had the parts in hand by Tuesday. Great service! I will definitely use this company if I need more parts.

I took the drawer and shelf out,unscrewed the old slide, then screwed the ne wone in. Put the shelf back in and then slid the drawere right in!

The entire frame that holds the two crisper drawers pulls right out. After that, it's just a matter of unscrewing the broken part, snapping in and screwing the new part and sliding the whole thing back in.

Just as your video described, although due to the age of the fridge, it took a bit longer to remove the defective switch. Your video made this so simple, I can't imagine why we lived with a dark fridge for so long! I was ready to buy a whole new fridge, as repairmen are often nonexistent for small repairs. First i removed the vegetable drawers and slide rails. Removed two screws from the old rail then replaced it with the new one. Then replaced the vegetable drawers. It was that simple. The replaceement part was delivered to my home in threre days after i ordered it on line. It was better than going to a dealer and having them order one for me then having to make another trip to pick it up.

Removed two screws, lined up the rail and replaced the screws. That was it!! Glass shelf sat on top and bin slid in smoothly.

Pulled out old drain gromet. Have to be careful not to put drain in motor. Experienced repair person could probably to in 5 minutes; it took my husband about 15 minutes. Did not really need entire drain line; just connection at top.

Using plyers Pulled old switch down and out. Put new one in and pushed new switch up into position. The switch plugs into the contacts, no wiring needed. Worked like a charm. You saved me 200 dollars GE repair bill. Thanks

was able to grind the edge to map it fit

Had to e-mail GE for electrical schematic. Checked voltages to compressor. Jumpered compressor to see if it would even come on. Found bad run capacitor. Fixed.

Unscrewed the old rail, cleaned everything and installed the new rail

I started at the compressor and replaced the overload and the Ptcr first and that did not make the compressor start running again, so I replaced the capasitor and it still did not start, so I bit the bulett and replaced the Main Control Board and that is what I should have checked first, when I removed the old one I found a little burnt spot on the back that I could not see from the front. The new one did not look exactly like the old one, it had two more wire terminals than the old one, but just leave them blank and everything will work just fine!

Removed slide from frame and replaced slide. Simple and easy.
