Removed the broken rail (2 screws), replaced the new rail (2 screws), reassembled all in about 8 minutes. It was AWESOME!!! I had spent hours trying to repair it and, fortunately, gave up and decided to look online for the part. Didn't even think that the part would still be available. Not only was it available but it arrived in 2 days! Anything that is broken in the future: I am going to your website first! Thank you!!!

Removed the broken part with a pliers.
Inserted end cap into shelf, then into door.

Just as your video described, although due to the age of the fridge, it took a bit longer to remove the defective switch. Your video made this so simple, I can't imagine why we lived with a dark fridge for so long! I was ready to buy a whole new fridge, as repairmen are often nonexistent for small repairs. The repair was very simple. The longest part was taking everything off the shelf in the refrigerator so that the slide rail could be removed. Then when things were out, it was clear that the bottom of the refrigerator needed cleaning. The repair itself was done quickly. The cleaning (yuck) took longer! this is a great site because the part came quickly and it was very easy to select just what was needed.

First i removed the vegetable drawers and slide rails. Removed two screws from the old rail then replaced it with the new one. Then replaced the vegetable drawers. It was that simple. The replaceement part was delivered to my home in threre days after i ordered it on line. It was better than going to a dealer and having them order one for me then having to make another trip to pick it up.

The entire frame that holds the two crisper drawers pulls right out. After that, it's just a matter of unscrewing the broken part, snapping in and screwing the new part and sliding the whole thing back in.

Remove bottom glass shelf, lift up -then remove entire drawer slide assembly.Remove plastic decorative front cover(it just snaps off) and unscrew left side drawer slide screws.replace with new part and screw in screws. Replace in bottom of fridge and replace glass shelf.So Easy that an average house wife like myself was able to do it alone.Almost as easy as finding the part needed on partselect.com! Thanks, it was much easier than apple pie.

Removed two screws, lined up the rail and replaced the screws. That was it!! Glass shelf sat on top and bin slid in smoothly.

The bracket arrived promptly after ordering by telephone and snapped into place easily.

Pulled out old drain gromet. Have to be careful not to put drain in motor. Experienced repair person could probably to in 5 minutes; it took my husband about 15 minutes. Did not really need entire drain line; just connection at top.

Using plyers Pulled old switch down and out. Put new one in and pushed new switch up into position. The switch plugs into the contacts, no wiring needed. Worked like a charm. You saved me 200 dollars GE repair bill. Thanks

Removed slide from frame and replaced slide. Simple and easy.

I started at the compressor and replaced the overload and the Ptcr first and that did not make the compressor start running again, so I replaced the capasitor and it still did not start, so I bit the bulett and replaced the Main Control Board and that is what I should have checked first, when I removed the old one I found a little burnt spot on the back that I could not see from the front. The new one did not look exactly like the old one, it had two more wire terminals than the old one, but just leave them blank and everything will work just fine!

Sears told me the part was no longer available. I came to your web site and then called your customer service. A very nice customer service lady helped me find the part. Very simple to pull the old one off and reinstall the new one with a rat trap behind the unit. Just in case it came back. Could have been a client but probably was a rat. Thanks for the great service.
