Ice maker leaking
Quite easy. Turn off water supply and turn off ice maker at switch inside freezer. Unscrew the old unit, separate the electrical connection, and pull it out. New unit comes with parts that do not fit my refrigerator, so visually examine the new and old units, reuse any needed parts from the old unit, such as plastic water ramp. Reconnect the electrical connector, and screw it back in. Turn water supply back on and then turn ice maker back on at switch inside freezer. Discard unused parts. Wait up to 24 hours for new ice cubes to be made.

Refrigerator was not as cold as usual and freezer was not keeping ice cream solid.
First had to diagnose the problem. From reading others stories, figured it would be the timer, thermostat or heater. First removed the back panel of the freezer. There are 3 screws at top that will need a phillips screw driver and 2 hexagon nuts at bottom. The defrost heater is at the very bottom. If the glass is black, it's burnt out. Got that clue from others. Had to shop for fresh produce and meats as the days went. Put towels at the bottom of freezer over the drain hole so it doesn't overflow while defrosting it the first time. There will be lots of water if the outside of the panel that covers the coils has a sheet of ice on it as well from the build up. Used hair dryer a couple of times every 2 days until the part arrived to avoid a big build up of ice again. Once the part arrived, instead of standing there and defrosting the coils, it was easier to empty the frigerator contents into a cooler. The freezer contents went into outside freezer, probably would be ok in cooler for a day. Unplug and let it defrost overnight. Had plenty of time to plan this because it took at least 5 days to receive the part. Unscrew the bracket, remove the plug-in from both ends of defrost heater/bracket assembly and lift out. Plug in new one, screw in place. You're done. Now hubby can have his coolers back and go fishing! Good as new. Fridge is 38-40 degrees and ice cubes are solid within a few hours. Darn, I won't be getting that French door fridge for awhile, I guess.

Refridgerator and freezer getting warm.
First replaced the temp sensor and thermostat, no results. Replaced heating element (looked chared inside the clear tube) and it worked. Heating element is just a plug in connection as comparewd to sensor and thermostat which is splicing in wire connections. Defrosting takes the longest time.

The Ice Maker stopped making Ice because the arm over the ice bucket which turned turned on the icemaker was broken
I read the step by step instructions that came with the part. I turned two screws and disconnected the electrical harness and Removed the icemaker. Two other parts from the old icemaker were easily removed without any tools and put on the new icemaker. The new icemaker was put in the same way the old one came out. I reconnected the electrical harness and tightened the old screws. The hardest part of the whole job was reading the directions. They were easy to follow if you take the time to Just read them!

Auto defrost of my 9 year old refrigerator had stopped working
I am very impressed with the information on your website with drawings of my refrigerator and parts needed to fix it. To replace the heater I turned the power to the refrigerator off, removed the panel which covers the cooling coils and heater. To replace the heater I removed two screws which hold the bracket assembly and unplugged the AC power leads to the heater. The old heater had totally failed. The refrigerator is now working normally again. Thanks so much for your great support. I ordered the heater on a Thursday afternoon and received the new heater and bracket assembly the next day. The price was also very reasonable.
