unplugged refrigerator. removed light bulb from old socket. unsnapped old light socket and pulled it out just enough to diconnect the electrical plug that plugs into the socket . discarded the old socket and plugged in new socket. snapped in new socket into refrigerator. i watched how to do this simple procedure on you tube and decided to do it myself. easy easy easy

1. Unplugged the fridge. 2. unplugged the fan connection and removed the wire holding clip. 3. removed the 2 screws holding the motor bracket in place and removed the bracket. 4. Pulled gently back on the motor so that the fan pressed against the front bracket until the fan slid off the motor shaft. 5. Pulled the rubber motor mounts off of the old motor and placed on the new motor. 6. Slide the new motor in place pressed the fan all the way onto the shaft. 7. Placed the rear motor bracket in place and started the screws by hand making sure the ground wire was attached to the furthest away screw. 8. tightened the screws down. 9. Pushed in the wire holding clip into the clip hole. 10. Plugged back in the fan. 11. Plugged back in the fridge. 12. Turned down the temp on the fridge to kick on the compressor and checked to assure the fan was operating and then set the temp back to normal. 13. Vacuumed the condenser coils to get them all clean and ready for more years of service!

After I bought what I thought I needed for the repair. I asked a friend to come over and look at it. He changed the
the light socket and put the same light bulb in and it works great. I am returning the light switch but decided to keep the light bulb.

Getting on the internet was so easy. This was really very simple. Thank you for making what I thought would be a big ordeal into something very simple.

The hard part was cleaning the dust around the coil and fan area. Its plug and play right after that. Two nuts on the fan housing and a wire harness snaps on and off. Bam! 1,2,3 Up and running. . Like new. . . Thank you ps

used prior reviews, was good, I was not sure how to remove fan blade. It just pulls off.
space is tight but every thing went ok.

took back cover off. swept the rear with a vacuum cleaner to get rid of dust.found that the fan would not turn. ordered part with your really great ordering technique. Part was suppose to be here in 3-5 days and was here the next day!!!.Removed 2 bolts pulled out the plastic clip that held the wire on. and worked the fan blade off shaft. removed and replaced in the same order as taking simple Thanks

Husband did the installation. Said it was easy and he had no problems with the repair. He's great at various do it yourself repairs.

Followed the video you posted on your website and it went seamlessly.
Removed the full unit and after replacing the motor - placed back in slot, secured and ran perfectly.
Hot center bar no longer a problem

Remove rear access cover. Remove 2 screws on fan motor bracket. Remove fan blade. Unplug harness. Insert new motor in reverse order. Literally took less than ten minutes. Plugged the fridge back in and quiet as a mouse... perfect replacement part.

It just unpluged and the new one plugged in. Simple. The part was reasonable and arrived very quickly. It sure is nice to have a light in the frig again.

I followed the instructions from the repair video that was posted in the part description. It was exactly the same as shown in the video.

First I removed the ice tray rack lifting it out of the way to reach the back cover of the fan. Then, the whole back inside panel had to be removed. Two screws removed the fan and bracket from the freezer unit. The missing bumper lid just snapped into place. Replaced everything in reverse order. Pretty easy job.

I replaced the compressor fan.

Attempted to remove whole bracket per PartSelect YouTube video. Our refrig must have been slightly older or something, because the bracket would not come out no matter how much we begged and pleaded. ~ So we replaced motor in place, which was a headache, but doable. Seems to work fine, and much quieter than the old motor.
