All lights on inside of refrigerto dimmed to appox 1/10 of normal brightness
After researching the likely cause online, I found that the lights inside the doors are wired in series, and if one led fails, the remaining lights dim.
I located the non working light by holding my hand in front of each light until I found the inoperative one. After receiving the replacement part, gently removed the light from the door frame with the trim removal tool, unplugged the failed light and plugged the new one in. Pressed the light back into place in the frame and all was well.

refrigerator and freezer stopped working
I replaced the three sensors, 2 in the freezer 1 in the refrigerator. This was rated as the most common problem. Did not fix the problem. I then checked the ohms on the new sensors then the old sensors they were all within .5 of each other. So I got smart and went down the list of causes on their list. I emailed partselect and asked what the parts should read. They replied with that information and it turned out to be the voltage converter on the compressor. I ordered the part on friday payed for overnight delivery and it arrived tuesday. This as you can imagine makes me angry. But the part was easy to install and my refrigerator started working right away. I would advise anyone with this problem to start at the top of the problem list use a multi meter check everything on the list and only replace part or parts that don't come up to standards. This will save time and money and hopefully fix the problem the first time as you are not switching out parts and hoping that it solves the problem.

Switchlight was broken on tennant's refridge
as described, I used a thin screwdriver to wedge in and pull down existing, broken switch. I was able to pull it down about a 1/4 inch, but wasn't quit able to disegage it until I gripped it with pliers. I then pulled it out, unplugged the old switch, plugged in the new switch, and carefully tucked the wires back into the fridge and snapped the new switch into place.

Refrigerator would warm up while freezer got colder
Repair man thought it was the control board and an issue with a relay on the board. Purchased the new board but found out the board was fine, and it was the recirculating fan that would go out intermediately.
Tried ordering that part from Part Select since they have been great, but GE discontinued the part and their was not a replacement available. After much research, found the new replacement part number and ordered that, it went in quickly and for now seems to have solved the problem.

No water thru the door.
Removed the bad inlet valve and installed the replacement. Very easily done. The replacement part made the repair so simple and saved me a huge amount over calling a repair man. It did not take any special knowledge.

Refrigerator began to make a very loud noise which lasted up to 3 minutes long. This sound repeated once a day every 4 to 6 days
GE sent a technician to our home. He listened to the video I had made of the loud noise the fridge was making and he knew what I needed without even looking at the appliance. The parts would take 60 to 90 days due to distribution chain issues. He gave me the part numbers and I paid him $140.00 for his service fee.
I found the parts myself that I needed on PartsSelect.com which arrived with 2 weeks. I watched a YouTube video on how to install the parts. The hardest part was emptying my entire refrigerator of perishables so I could easily get to the malfunctioning fan motor and the motor’s boot. I used a heat gun to dislodge ice clinging to the parts I needed to remove to reach the fan motor. It worked well. Once I was able to detach the old fan motor & its boot, I easily slid the new one into its place. I then reattached everything I had disassembled. It works beautifully without disruptive noise.
The water filter cartridge door also easily snapped into place, replacing one with a broke latch.
I love the saying,
“What one man can, another man can do.”(Except I’m a girl - my husband was amused).

Replace water filter in icemaker
This was the first time I took out the old filter on my new refrigerator and added the new one. It was a little hard getting the old one out because I was afraid to pull on it but it did come out ok and was easy to put the new one in.

light not working
I used pliers to pull lightly on the head of the switch, while I inserted a small flat head screw driver into the base of switch and gently worked around the edges to free it from the panel.

While cleaning, I Broke the glass that tops the 2 vegetable drawers.
The glass fits easily under a plastic ridge that is the frame holding the 2 vegetable drawers below. Slide the back side of the glass under the ridge, and then gently place the front of the glass in the groove where it goes on top of the vegetable drawers.
Its Super simple, and takes literally 30 seconds to complete.
