I Broke A Plastic Refrigerator Door Shelf
I removed the broken shelf that I had duct-taped in place until the replacement arrived. I simply slipped the four little notches (2 on each side of the shelf) into their appropriate slots and--voila!--my new shelf was installed!

Bottom Hinge Wore Out
Set up two saw horses to put door on. Unloaded door shelves. removed upper hinge, and lifted door from lower hinge, placed door on horses. changed lower hinge on refrigerator. put door back on lower hinge, and closed door. Put upper hinge back on. Reloaded door shelves. It took more time to Unload, and Load door shelves than to replace Hinge.

Broken plastic closure cam
I blocked the bottom of the door(CAREFULLY!!) in position to elevate the door & take strain off the lower hinge & pivot post, while maintaining proper door alignment. I removed the two screws holding the hinge & post assembly from the frame, saving the screws & spacer for reuse. I removed the two screws holding the upper cam bracket on the door, again keeping the attaching parts. I installed and carefully aligned the new cam, original spacer & retaining plate to the lower edge of the door. I installed the new hinge & post assembly using the existing spacer & screws. I aligned the door & seal while checking the gap from top to bottom and from side to side. I carefully tighten the screws and rechecked the gap between the door & frame as well as the alignemnt of the door seal. Once satisfied with the alignment, I finished tightening the screws. I emphasize care and extreme caution in reinstalling the screws, they are a self-tapping (self-threading) type of fastener and this requires caution to make sure they are started and installed in the original threads of the door & frame. I put them all in using only finger pressure until I was positive they were started straight, going into the original threads, NOT trying to cross-thread or cut new threads, the structure is too thin for that and stripped threads will result! The door alignment and gap spacing is critical, make sure to check these adjustments carefully to ensure proper operation. Total time of repair, less than 15 minutes. I hope I have not over-simplified this because I have over 55 years of Automotive shop experienced and an ASE Certified Master Auto & Truck Technician...:-)

The door would not close from half way open automatically
First I watched the video and everything on that video was correct. I took off the hinge cap with a Philips screw driver on the top of the refrigerator. Then I took out two 5/16" screws with a socket wrench. Removed the hinge and the door lifted off. On the bottom of the door took out one screw and loosened the other one and replaced the Cam Riser. Put everything back together and it worked perfectly.

door making noise when closing
I replaced the cam. The video was really helpful telling me the steps and the tools that would be needed ahead of time. Took about 5 minutes because of the video vs It would have taken me 30 - 40 minutes if I didn't.

Hinge Pin sheared off
Removed the door, removed old hinge, aligned the new one. Replaced door, then adjusted the door so that it lined up correctly and had same size gape top and bottom between the double doors. Tightened up all bolts and screws and made sure door opened and closed properly. Watched the video that was available to show how to replace hinge correctly. This helped a lot.

Refrigerator side door feel off due to broken hinge pin
Followed easy video instructions. Loosened the necessary bolts, etc. Replaced hinge assembly, lined up door, lubed the hinge with vasoline. Works perfectly now. May purchase another assembly as spare as it appears this may be a common repair issue.

Self closing upper and lower cam had broken
I removed the lower cover plate and placed a small scissor jack (used my car jack) under the refrigerator door, loosened the upper hinge, slightly raised jack to take the weight off of the lower hinge, removed the hinge with a 5/16 nut driver and the cam with a 5/16 socket. Installed new hinge and cam, removed door support and secured top hinge, check operation. Worked GREAT, did not have to remove door.

Refrigeratior door of side by side would not close
I viewed a how-to video on partselect.com. I removed all items from the door shelves. Used a screw driver to remove the top "hinge" plate. Used a nutdriver to remove the door hinge plate. Removed door, laid on it's side-hinge side up (if you don't have a helper, lay it on a flat service). Simply removed the broken bottom plate and replaced with new part, and reinstalled on refrigerator. Super Simple!

Drawer side rails broken
With normal wear and tear over the course of ten years both of the side rails for the VC were broken. One side I successfully glued together with super glue and it has lasted more than a year. The other side kept breaking so I ordered a replacement part. Very easy installation just removed two screws (save them you will need them) and then put in the new part. Customer Service rep had no idea if the part I needed for the CSX20BA was the same as what I presume is the newer model with a longer ID code. She suggested I call GE. Not wanting to spend any more time on the phone I took a gamble and indeed it is the identical part.
