Need to remove mullion on French door models
Called repair man as I was not certain how to remove mullion part and disconnect wire. He just removed screws top and bottom then disconnected wire. Then slid off mullion. Replacing gaskets was easy with mullion removed. Rep said NOT to use vasaline as it degrades gasket but rather use a candle if desired. Rep did not use anything just pressed gaskets into empty slot.

Refrigerator wasn’t cooling, but the freezer was.
Unplugged the fridge.
Took off the freezer door.
Took off the door brackets and the ice machine. Removed the back panel. Unplugging the light and the ice machine were a challenge to get to. Installation of the fan motor was simple. Reverse all the directions, done. Tough part was figuring out what to take off.

End that holds clear cover snapped off,
Remove glass, lift cover up in front, slide out, transfer parts seals and switch for crisper(one pivot screw. Remove rear seal by using finger nail to pull at gasket slowly pulling it back. Take your time. Reinstall cover and glass, snap pivoting cover back on.

Ice Maker Not Making Ice
My GE SideBySide fridge stopped making ice. The green LED light on the icemaker was not blinking. The water dispenser worked fine. Fridge is only 5 years old. Freezer temp set at 7 degrees...fridge at 37 degrees. I have been using these temps since new. GE hotline suggested freezer temp should be at zero degrees. That did not work. Second call suggested an airflow issue within the freezer...there should be 1 inch space between food and back wall. Still no ice. The water valve looks to be the issue. I ordered it and got it in 2 days. Valve is in the back bottom, refridgerator side. Push the white collars around the water hoses...Then pull the hoses out. An adjustable wrench removes the nut for the inlet hose. Disconnect 2 electrical plugs. Be sure to push the water hoses fully into the new valve. I pulled the white collars out a bit to insure a tight fit. I was surprised at how simple this was to install. As it turns out, I was still getting no ice. I ordered a new ice maker and now I'm getting ice. The icemaker was EVEN EASIER to install.

Main control board crapped out
Easy Squeezy . Not counting pulling the Refrigerator out and removing the cover ( which I had already done) I had the old control board out and new one in in 15 minutes. The squeeze mounting plugs were a little tricky but after that it was just a matter of getting the multiple plugs into the correct receptacles.

both freezer and refigerator were warm.
I watched the video online and it said there were three sensors in the refrigerator, two in the freezer and one in the refrigerator. I only ordered one sensor and was going to try the one in the refrigerator first. He said the upper one in the freezer is the most difficult, but is usually the problem. So, I replaced the upper sensor and tried restarting the unit. Everything went well and it fixed the problem.

Brittle, dirty gasket. Condensation in refrig.
Observed exactly how original gasket "sat" in the grooves of the door. Carefully removed it. Then methodically installed the new one with simple, consistent pressure so it would fit into the grooves. Result: nice tight sesl.

No or little ice would dispense
Went exactly by the video. Perfect job, you send the installation video with the part. You watch the video before or during, goof proof, took longer to disassemble than to replace the part.

Refrigerator stopped working / cooling
Our refrigerator stopped working/cooling. Searched Youtube for troubleshooting solutions and found several helpful videos. After following the instructions from the various videos I determined that the main controller board was bad. Ordered the part from PartSelect, received it in timely manner, installed the part following the instructions provided from videos and the refrigerator started up right away. Gave it 24 hours before to make sure it was going to cool down and hold proper temperatures then put it back in use.
We are really happy not to be buying a new refrigerator.

Won't dispence ice or water
Changing out solenoid was very easy, but you don't have to remove trim ring and it didn't fix my problem. Turns out a relay fell out of its holder in the piece you have after removing the 4 screws per the video.
