The control board generated clicking noise. Temperature display wrong values.
On the internet forum I read that if the control board needs to be changed , do the same for the Run Capacitor/relay.
The Ge profile refrigerator was 15 years old. First I disconnect the power cord,
I removed the control board at the back of the fridge, replaced it with a new one and did the same for the run capacitor.
Plugged the power cord back and it works fine. GE repair service did not want to come to do it. DIY is fine.

Fridge/Freezer bad temps and clicking sounds from rear
Found out via searches that the most likely failed part was the Main Control Board. A simple repair with basic tools and a HUGE savings. Thanks to everyone here for the posts.
PS - on my particular GE model PFS22SISBSS there was no need to cut any wires as per the instructions because the wires did not exist on this unit.

Refrigerator wasn't cooling
Very simple fix by replacing the mother board. Your "how to" video made the repair even easier. The appliance repair estimate was over $400. I saved over $200. I already recommended your site to several other people. Thanks for making it so easy

Refrigerator kept turning off and on
I easily removed the screws and then removed the board and took a picture so I would remember how to re-connect it. It was really easy and now my refrigerator is working great. If I can do it anyone can do it. My husband was amazed that I did it all by myself.

Refridge and freezer would not cool.
Removed the screws on the back panel with a nut driver and then removed the old board from the back. Rehooked the connections and replaced board and backing.
Repairman wanted to charge $400 for parts and labor. Saved $150 because he charged to diagnose the problem.

Unplugged side by side took about 4-5 screws out removed plate from back, unplugged the wires removed old board and plugged wires in new board, note: new board a little different than original. Screwed plate back in. So far so good. I do not think I will buy any more ge appliances, this one was very expensive but out of warranty now my ge dishwasher is making noise all purchased at same time.

Clicking noise while trying to turn on,would not turn on.
I checked the problems others were having to see if they had simular ones. They were having the same clicking noise I was having. My refrigerator would not turn on. Clicking noise but would not start. They replaced the motherboard. I searched the internet for prices. Part select was about $30.00 cheaper that the other stores. I ordered from part select. Nice helpful people to deal with. I installed the part in about 5 minutes, very easy repair. They sent me an updated part. Thanks everybody and Part Select for your help.

Ice and Water Fail to Dispence - odd sounds
If you simply watch the video on Partselect and follow the the enclosed instructions you will have no problem. Gently wiggle the connectors and push them aside. The only tricky part was squeezing the little nylon pins that support the board to slide the old one off. They can be brittle so exercise some care. Snapping the new board on is - well a snap. The ground connector on my unit was a slide-on but the new board had a screw-based connector. I pushed the connector over the slide-in mount and it was a tight fit so all was well.

"ghostly" sounds from refrig fan
read on line that fan control in main board can cause erratic running of the fan causing "whooing" and ghostly sounds. New board installed and now I have the quietest fridge in the neighborhood. Here's the unbelieveable part. Ordered the part online from parts select on good friday morning. Fed ex delivered it just after lunch the next day (saturday). Now that's the best service I've ever received!!
