icemaker working poorly, almost not at all
I looked at the parts online on Part Select, and determined that the most likely culprit was the icemaker unit itself. The other components did not appear likely to be at fault. Although it cost a bunch ($176)I figured it would be a lot cheaper than hiring someone to come in. The part came amazingly fast, via FedEx second day I think, and I simply looked at the part, and figured out to depress the tabs at the top while pulling the unit toward the front of the fridge, and it came out with moderate effort. One phillips head screw held the door at the left which once removed, allowed the electrical cord to be released after pressing the clip to release the catch. Installation was the reverse, and went really fast. Once connected, the icemaker began making ice after about 1/2 hour, then never stopped after that. Repair complete!! Very pleased.

on the french doors my granddaughter kept turning the inner seal bar when the door was open and when we went to close it it was in the wrong position and eventually the upper hinge broke
I took a small straight screw driver and popped the cap case off, removed old hinge and installed new hinge and snapped the cap back in place.. took all of 30 seconds

Spring broke
Installed new spring pin and spring. Took only 2-3 minutes. It was more difficult to get the correct part since the spring pin was the only number listed in the part diagram and I actually needed the spring and had to call customer service to get the correct part number.
