Replace ice chute assembly on GE Profile frig.
I was not able to repair or find any info on line on how to remove control panel. Hired a local appliance tech for $117 and after much trouble he was able to release two tabs on right side of control panel with small screwdriver for low tab and long rod on upper tab. After panel is off new part replacement is easy. This GE frig ice chute is much different than new models. The whole assembly is replaced not just the flapper and solenoid. Be careful to not break control panel while removing. I very stupid design as far as easy service. Also screw on underside is removed first. GE could have made repair easier with good engineering.

BROKEN VEGETABLE PAN RAIL
TOOLS NEEDED ARE A #2 PHILLIPS, A FLAT TIP SCREWDRIVER AND SOAP AND WATER FOR CLEANING OF THE VEGETABLE PAN COVER.

1. REMOVE BOTH VEGETABLE PANS.
2. REMOVE THE VEGETABLE PAN COVER BY SLIDING IT FORWARD ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO LIFT IT UP AND OUT.
3. USING THE PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER REMOVE THE 2 SCREWS HOLDING THE RAIL TO THE CASE.
4. IF THE REAR PART OF THE RAIL IS BROKED OFF AND STILL IN THE WALL OF THE FRIDGE (LIKE MINE WAS) REMOVE IT WITH THE FLAT TIP SCREWDRIVER BY PRYING IT OUT OF THE SQUARE HOLE . USE SOME PRESSURE IF NEEDED.
5. INSERT THE REAR PART OF THE RAIL (LOOKS LIKE A LANCE) AND PUSH IT IN ALL THE WAY TILL IT STOPS.
6. THE PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER ANCHOR THE RAIL TO THE WALL OF THE FRIDGE FIRMLY, NOT TOO TIGHT.
7. USING THE SOAP AND WATER, CLEAN INSIDE OF THE FRIDGE AND ALL PARTS REMOVED.
8. LAY THE VEGETABLE PAN COVER ON TOP OF THE RAILS AND SLIDE IT BACK TO LOCK IN PLACE.
9. INSTALL THE VEGETABLE PANS.
10. WORKED FINE, LOOKS FINE AND LASTS A LONG TIME.

Water flow from in-door dispenser was a trickle
We didn't think the dispenser problem was related to the filter - we were wrong! It took less than two minutes, including opening the box and unwrapping the filter. I'll definitely be changing my filter more often - and buying it through PartSelect. Your ordering was so easy and delivery was unbelievably fast!
