My father called and asked me if I knew where he could get a new switch light for his refrigerator. I came across your web site and found the part right away. In less than 3 days the part came and my father put it on. He said it was easy and that it was great to have the part come to him instead of having to search all over town. follow the easy instructions replace 3 temperature sensors cut the wires and crimp them with new sensor and it works like new

Take off all , then install.. following the version..

I had some trouble removing the broken switch because a lot of the frame was missing due to the damage from the dropped can. I tried a screwdriver first and then switched to a small putty knife, which someone else had suggested.
Once the switch was loose and wires were accessible, I also had some trouble disconnecting them but they finally turned loose. After that the new switch was easily connected and popped back into the opening.
Definitely take photos as you disconnect!

The right side of the three left three tines must be shaved about 1/8" to allow the ice remover blades to pass unimpeded.The part should be manufactured better.

After inspection of the new door recess assembly, I realized that I could use sidecutters (electronic assembly type) and 'clip' off the inward lock tabs of the old recess assembly and disengage it from the crank door arm without any further disassembly of the refrigerator door. It was easy to 'unhitch' the tang from the crank arm and wiggle it out through the external opening of the ice/water dispenser compartment. I reversed the process and inserted the new assembly through the external opening of the compartment. The new door recess assembly snapped into place on the crank arm and fit tightly against the ice chute opening, correcting the issue caused by aging distortion of the old rubber seal cup portion of the door recess assembly.

took off the front panel, removed the auger and front piece, removed the pin and spring and installed them on to the new piece and then put everything back together

Disconnect the ice maker unit from the right side plate as well as unplugged the electric connections.

2. Unscrewed the left side plate from freezer side. It took some time to unscrew the farthest one due to lack of room to use spanner. Some the small socket set to unscrew it.

3. Remove old one and attach new one
4. Attach the ice maker to the left plat and plug in.

5. Put the ice tray and start making ice.

Watched an online video that I had seen before that helped immensely step by step, I fixed before and now just lowered freezer setting so ice bucket doesn’t get as full and freeze the deflector and jam deflector, causing it to break.

removed ice bucket from frig. removed screws to dis assemble the box to get to the auger assembly,removed stripped nut replaced reassembled be care not to let the rest of the assembly fall from auger there are a lot of blades and spacers to try to get back to proper position.

New parts just snapped in place. Perfect fit.

Went exactly by the video. Perfect job, you send the installation video with the part. You watch the video before or during, goof proof, took longer to disassemble than to replace the part.

Pried off the yellowed trim piece, took a little effort. Popped on the new piece. Looks great! Although this part seems expensive for what it is, it does make the refrigerator look much better and cleaner.
