STS15ABMBRWW General Electric Refrigerator - Instructions

After removing 2 screws from freezer air duct and 2 screws and 2 self tapping screws from back panel, I removed all these, as well as the foam duct connector. Checked and verified 120 volts at the motor connector, indicating that the motor was bad. Ordered the motor, and 22 hours later, it arrived. 15 minutes later,and 6 screws reinstalled, it was up and running.

I pulled the shrouding off, unplugged the motor and replaced it. The hardest part is slipping the fan blade off the shaft without breaking it. Works perfectly now. Also, the shipping fed-ex, regular ground was only 3 days here to arizona. Would use anytime

Took out vegetable draws, removed old cover and put in new vegetable pan cover. Then put back drawers.

Pulled the two wires out from the access hole in the lower part of the refrigerator. Put them in the spade connectors on the new switch, and pushed the switch into place.

I removed the old shelf and even though the new one had a slightly different texture, it fit perfectly and the two crisper drawers slid right in.

All I had to do was remove what I had on the shelf, remove the bins, replace the shelf and slide the bins back in, replace what I had on the shelf and close the door. I am so happy now when I open the refrigerator door and the new (unbroken) shelf has replaced that old broken one.

I found a replacement evaporator fan motor and 2 mounting bracket grommets at PartSelect.com at a reasonable price. I watched the installation video provided and installed the new parts as shown in the video start to finish installation time 22 minutes.i

Just as your video described, although due to the age of the fridge, it took a bit longer to remove the defective switch. Your video made this so simple, I can't imagine why we lived with a dark fridge for so long! I was ready to buy a whole new fridge, as repairmen are often nonexistent for small repairs. My wife and I followed the installation video & put the gasket in hot water. We struggled to get it started in the second corner on top. Gasket had cooled down so wasn't wanting to go in the slot. I finally got the bright idea to use a hair dryer to warm the gasket as we pushed it along.
That helped us finish the installation.
Not sure the new gasket is the complete answer to the leakage at the top of the door (forming ice crystals). The MAGNETS ARE WEAK compared to my 1 year old GE top freezer refrigerator!

First I removed the old cover, and the cans of soda I was using to hold it up. Then I put the new cover in, and snapped it in place. This took less than a minute, and could not have been easier. The replacement cover fits perfectly. Thanks!!

I'm not at all techie, but your site made it easy for me to find the part I needed. The part arrived within 2 days, and walla I installed and all is good.

Not really a repair, just replaced the vegetable drawer tray, I just set the part in and it fit perfectly.
