Unusual noise from freezer.
Replaced above parts and the noise problem was not resolved. Ordered a new motor, fan blade and another set of grommets from PartSelect. The parts were delivered the next day. Took me about 15 minutes to swap the new parts in. It's been 3 days since the repair and the noise has not returned.

A power surge made my side by side refrigerator stop working
I started at the compressor and replaced the overload and the Ptcr first and that did not make the compressor start running again, so I replaced the capasitor and it still did not start, so I bit the bulett and replaced the Main Control Board and that is what I should have checked first, when I removed the old one I found a little burnt spot on the back that I could not see from the front. The new one did not look exactly like the old one, it had two more wire terminals than the old one, but just leave them blank and everything will work just fine!

Compressor would not kick on
Had a similar situation with a central A/C unit and the capacitor was the culprit. Went online to Parts Select, punched in my model number and Parts Select brought up the detail breakout of my unit. I easily identified the capacitor and the overload unit it connects to and ordered the parts for about $40.That whole process took about 10 minutes. Replaced the parts in about 15 minutes and cured the problem. Parts Select was so easy to find and order what I needed that on a scale of 1-10, I would rank them as an 11!

The refrigerator made a humming/grinding sound
I used the socket set to remove pannel that allowed me to have access to the evaporator fan. Once the fan and it's container was visible, I removed the entire fan container using the socket set. I took the fan out of the container, removed the damage blade and the damaged fan grommets. I then replace the old blade with the new blade and put the fan and the compartment back together. I am not very handy so if I am able to do this, anybody can. Ps. I was very very pleased with the services I received from PartSelect and would encourage others to use them - must admit I was very suspicious at first.

switch wouldn't come out anymore and turn light on
Gently pry out switch in door jam with screwdriver and pull both connectors off and put connectors on new switch then push switch back into the hole. Looked it up on the internet and video showed how to and also had link to new part, ordered and less than a week later the fridge is bright again. I have an older freezer also and it seems that they all use the same switches. Very Very easy

failed light switch
I started removing the switch by prying on the right side with a screwdriver, when it emerged enough I used pliers to finish removing it. I then unpluged rhe wires from the bad switch and pluged them on the new switch and "poped" it into the hole.

The refrigerator and freezer door gasket's were leaking
The repair is very simple, the gasket sits in a channel in the door. Just start with a corner and pull the old gasket out. Once you've removed the old gasket, push the new gasket into the same channel. Make sure you've completely pushed in the new gasket all the way around the door. It's as simple as that. The repair takes less than 5 minutes per door.
