Cake walk repair.

Unload the door then close it.
Remove screw holding plastic cover over hinge on top.
Remove 2 bolts attaching the hinge on the door.
Slowly open and lift door off of bottom hinge lay on counter.
Unscrew bolt, insert new cam, tighten bolt ,set back on bottom hinge, center install top hinge, tighten and install cover. tool me 6 minutes.

First i removed two screws that holds the ice maker in, unplug the plug to the ice maker. I was able to remove the old one. Place the new one in screwed in the two screws and pluged in the plug and in just a little while i had ice again. I am a women, if i can do it any one can. I had a repair man tell me it was going to be $250.00 dollars to replace it. I got on line ordered the ice maker and had it in 4 days. Very fast shipping and easy to install. Removed 2 screws holding top hinge. Removed door. Removed 2 screws that holds the door stop and cam riser replaced cam riser, provided, replaced stop and screws. Removed 2 screws holding lower hinge replaced with hinge, provided, replaced screws. Put door in place and replaced top hinge and srews. Job done

After recieving the part overnight (Very unexpected speedy delivery!) I propped the freezer side door up with a 4x4 and 2x4 and the old part came right off and the new part went right on with no hassels, Done in less than 15 min!!!!
The new part even came with step by step easy to follow directions.

Under the control panel there are three small holes. Insert ballpen or small flat screw driver on both outer holes to push a tab lock that holds the control panel in place. Then pull out control panel and three set of wires will be exposed and disconnect wire connectors (connectors have different sizes so you wont get confused in reconnecting). Unscrew four screws on each corner that holds the ice dispenser assembly (a part where you push your glass against to dispense ice or water. The flapper is exposed and easy to replace.

Excellent video was available on the Parts Select website. It was simple. The selector panel pulled out by hand from the bottom. The subpanel was removed with the four screws. The flapper snapped out of the holder with two clips. The new one was inserted in reverse order.

Just like they described in their blog. Should have done it before. Simple. Refrigerator looks like new. I refused to buy a new Refrigerator because the handles. As I said: IT LOOkS liKE BRAND NEW

Replace the flapper and this solved it. The video provided was excellent and allowed me to do this repair myself.

Placed a used fridge from a friend into a condo I am selling. Thought it would be nice to include, but the yellow handles against the nice white body was UGLY. Found this great site, read reviews, and ordered the parts. Was very easy. Have to have a flathead screwdriver to carefully remove the Upper and Lower Tail pieces. You need an Allen wrench for the Door Handle screws. Its the one that is shaped like an L and has six sides. When putting on the new tail pieces slip the large end on first, it has a tongue that slips into the handle, then pop it in working to the thin end.

Video is a great but still need to read the instuctions because there are parts you may need on the old ice maker. Saved myself a bit of money by not having to call a repairman. The process was very simple. I am glad I did it myself. Thank you Parts Select!

Part was easy to find on website. Part was delivered quickly. Reapir was easy, just replaced old hinge with new hinge.
