unplug refrigerator. Remove Ice bin then remove the cover off the ice maker,(slides off from bottom then lift off top) no reason to remove ice maker completely. Remove center gear screw and remove main gear from Ejector blade. remove (3) screws holding the front plate. The motor and switches are attached to this plate from behind, do not remove the nut from the from the stud that adjusts the travel for the motor. The Motor and switches will come upt with the plate and the shut off arm will come out of a hole in the top right. Its ok just be careful when you put it back to get it in the hole. remove the old cam and replace it wint the new one and reassemble. Its a bit tricky to get all of the microswitches over the new cam just carefully wiggle the plate and cam and don't push too hard. once everything is lined up it should go back together and you can replace the screws and main gear :)

Under the control panel there are three small holes. Insert ballpen or small flat screw driver on both outer holes to push a tab lock that holds the control panel in place. Then pull out control panel and three set of wires will be exposed and disconnect wire connectors (connectors have different sizes so you wont get confused in reconnecting). Unscrew four screws on each corner that holds the ice dispenser assembly (a part where you push your glass against to dispense ice or water. The flapper is exposed and easy to replace.

After recieving the part overnight (Very unexpected speedy delivery!) I propped the freezer side door up with a 4x4 and 2x4 and the old part came right off and the new part went right on with no hassels, Done in less than 15 min!!!!
The new part even came with step by step easy to follow directions.

Cake walk repair.

Unload the door then close it.
Remove screw holding plastic cover over hinge on top.
Remove 2 bolts attaching the hinge on the door.
Slowly open and lift door off of bottom hinge lay on counter.
Unscrew bolt, insert new cam, tighten bolt ,set back on bottom hinge, center install top hinge, tighten and install cover. tool me 6 minutes.

First i removed two screws that holds the ice maker in, unplug the plug to the ice maker. I was able to remove the old one. Place the new one in screwed in the two screws and pluged in the plug and in just a little while i had ice again. I am a women, if i can do it any one can. I had a repair man tell me it was going to be $250.00 dollars to replace it. I got on line ordered the ice maker and had it in 4 days. Very fast shipping and easy to install. removed door, removed old cracked riser aand replaced with new. You have a easy to follow parts site and very good prices. I will use you for all my future repairs.

Turn off power
Remove operator faceplate by pullling out on outer lower corners
Disconnect wire connectors from circuit board
Remove four screws from dispenser and pull out dispenser assy
Replcae Door ASsembly
Put everything back in place
Power up
Job Done

I removed the top hinge, lifted the door off the bottom hinge, rmoved and replaced the bottom hinge assembly, and reinstalled the door. I then aligned the door and reinstalled the upper hinge. The fridge works just like new!

Removed 2 screws holding top hinge. Removed door. Removed 2 screws that holds the door stop and cam riser replaced cam riser, provided, replaced stop and screws. Removed 2 screws holding lower hinge replaced with hinge, provided, replaced screws. Put door in place and replaced top hinge and srews. Job done

unclipped and replace with new part.

Excellent video was available on the Parts Select website. It was simple. The selector panel pulled out by hand from the bottom. The subpanel was removed with the four screws. The flapper snapped out of the holder with two clips. The new one was inserted in reverse order.

1. Use skewer to press plastic tabs under control panel, 2. Remove control panel and unplug solenoid, 3. Unscrew dispenser assembly and solenoid screws, 4. Press in tabs on lamp and remove assembly - unplug, 5. Replace lamp assembly, 6. Replace solenoid assembly and fasten screws, 7. Replace flapper. 8. Replace other parts in reverse order.

The video to replace the flapper looks easy, howerer the first step is to remove thestic cover of the icemaker. In my refrigerator model (as oposed to teh one shown n teh video) teh coved if firmly attached and goes under the refrigerator external plate so I was never abel to take it oot (so step 1 failed).
I was able to replace the flapper TROUGH the whole whre te ice comes from! this took lots of patients and someone with small hands!

After removing the panels, and numerous screws, i was able to remove the part from the door. Using a ladder next to the door to support the part, I was able to peel off the heater wiring on the back of the part, and disconnect the wiring to allow for replacement of the parts. Just take your time, as things will come apart, but having support for the parts frees up both hands to do the wiring removals and eventual replacement. I estimated about an hour and a half to do the replacement.

I ordered both a new replacement ice maker, and a new solenoid/pump. They were delivered to my house within one day and I had them installed in a matter of an hour. I had to use the power extension cord supplied with the ice maker.

The new "quick connect" hose couplings on the new pump are great.
