I followed the instructions in the video. The decorative parts were slightly different than in the video, such as screws at the top versus the bottom, but all of the working parts were the same. I was somewhat hesitant about applying pressure to remove the locking spring and fan blades and to replace them but the video reassured me and all went well. The refrigerator is operating as quietly as when it was brand new.

Used screw driver to lightly remove the old switch. Disconnected the 2 electrical leads to the old switch, then I connected those leads to the new switch. The light immediately came back on and I placed the switch into its housing hole and popped it in place. It works perfectly now. My wife said "let there be light"! Very easy installation. Thanks.

Ordered the part and within three working days the part was delivered. It took two minutes to pry off the broken part and one minute to snap in the new one.

It really was as simple as the other folks noted. Slid a screwdriver into the edge of the broken switch and it popped right out. Disconnected and reconnected each of the two wires and just slid the switch back into the slot. Truly a DIY fix.

I first watched the video on how to do it via YouTube, to make sure there were no hidden surprises. This was probably the easiest/ quickest repair I have ever done, the ONLY thing that took any time was removing the food from the freezer

i followed all the other submited solutions. really easy. popped out the broken light switch with thin tip screwdriver. careful not to let wires slip into compartment. then attached wires as i pulled them off broken switch. then carefully pop the new switch back in the slot. when i was younger i worked for an appliance repair company. i felt confident in this repair.

Replaced light switch. Defrost cycle remains suspect but refrigerator has worked OK for about 10 days.

Things fall out of my refrigerator frequently thus the broken lite switch. Thought tape would solve until new part arrived. Thank goodness part came the next day as even with tape on and door close and light bulbs removed fridge read door as open and would not cool It is programmed not to run with door open. Within 24 hours part was delivered, unbelievable . It was that fast. Easy insertion and plugged in to the wiring and my refridge once more recognized the door was shut and began cooling. the hardest part for me was the fan blade clasp.still only took like 20 minutes.But the best part was, the part was delivered and fixed within 24 hours of buying online. Great service guy's, Thanks.

The is my 'refreshment' cooler and sits in our garage. Hotter than heck in the summer so the things runs a lot. Started making a little growling noise. Had to partially disassemble the back panel to get to the fan. Touched the exposed shaft for a second and the sound stopped. OK, it's the fan. Went on line, used the (really great) exploded diagram to figure out what I needed. A couple days later the parts show up. Installed the new fan blade and retainer Removed the old motor (couple of mounting screws), connected the new motor (a plug in) and mounted the new motor making sure the grommet on the front and back were engaged. Turned the unit on and everything worked. Reinstalled the foam channel, the back panel and it ran perfectly. Great support (the diagram), fast delivery and fair pricing. Not bad!

emptied the freezer compartment, unfastened the air column panel, then four small bolts to remove the back panel in the freezer, unplugged the motor, unscrewed the motor, installed all in te reverse order and had the compartment refilled and running again in less than a half hour.

The light switch was accidentally broken. I looked it up on your site and found the part. I ordered it and switched it out in a matter of minutes. It also helped having people who purchased their switches from the site explain how they repaired their switches with relative ease.

Used a 2" putty knife to lift off the old switch. Disconnected the broken switch and replaced it with the new one. Took about 1 minute.
