Grille was evidently damaged while moving refrig.....
and a rat recently got trapped in the house while the owner was away. The rat chewed the grill quite a bit too. The repair was accomplished using a phillips screwdriver on the two screws which attach the grille to the refrig.

Refrigerator freezing.
Temp. Sensor was under an egg shaped cover on the left side wall in the refrigerator. Remove the cover, cut the two wires to the old sensor and remove it. Connect the new sensor to the two wires using butt connectors. Replace cover and done.

Ice dispnser worked intermitently. My diagnosis led me to the freezer door light switch. Switch operated the light but stopped the ice dispenser. After replacing the switch the dispenser operates every time now. problem solved.
Little difficult getting the switch out, had to pry wth some force. New installation was real easy.

upper rear of fridge too cold
I removed the light and cover, then removed the lower vent cover. This required a bit of pinching and pulling. Then I removed the Fresh Food Air Inlet Cover. I looked inside and saw that the flap/dampener was unseated and flopping around. That would explain why all the cold air was coming in from my freezer and freezing the food in my fridge. Replaced old with new, plugged in, reinstalled all covers, and Voila! My fridge is working correctly again. Thanks to the first review which was the one I followed. And Thanks to PartsSelect!

Broken auger and housing
Repairs were simplified by watching the on-line video. Only problem was the screw on collar on the end of the auger was broken and the only way I could buy it was to purchase the entire unit for @129.00. If it was available with the entire unit why couldn't I buy it by itself? I wound up drilling out the end of the collar and putting a small screw and washer in it to hold the D ring in place. Working great so far.

The refrigerator side was too cold freezing items
The thermostat was set at 0 for the freezer, but at 37 for the refrigerator. The refrigerator was showing a temperature of 20 degrees and would not stay at 37. After learning the 3 choices it could be (air inlet cover, thermostat, and computer), I went for the air inlet on the basis of percentage of repair. With this particular refrigerator with this problem; this is repair has the highest chance of success. Nice on-line decision making tool! I went with choices of previous buyers and followed previous buyers instructions. All I needed was a couple of Phillips head screw drivers, and cleaning the dirt I was finding in the refrigerator was the biggest job.

Our GE Monogram's freezer and flood locker compartments were too cold
This website is awesome! It basically tells you exactly what is wrong with your fridge. Our food side of the refrigerator was getting way too cold. Some items actually froze. I looked here and it said the fan/ damper assembly was broken. All I did was remove the part they said was broken and sure enough the little damper door that lets freezer air into the fridge side was broken. I ordered the part, replaced it and presto the refrigerator holds perfect temperature again! The replacement was super easy...only tool needed was a screwdriver and 15minutes! Thanks

My fridge was colder than my freezer
I can't tell you how luck I feel after finding your website I ordered the temperature sensor after watching one of your videos on-line and the repair went just as on the video. I pulled the "bad" sensor out, and replaced it with the new one. Keep in mind that this is the first time I ever touch an appliance, needless to say I'm feeling pretty good about that! All in all it took me about 20 minutes to complete my repair and it now has been about 4 days and the refrigerator is working like new again!

GE refer ice and water kept running
I researched the issue on line and replaced the microswitch. I didn't test the part since it was so inexpensive and the whole process only took me about 15 minutes to complete. I didn't know "where" the microswitch was located until I watched your video, a very helpful tool. Thanks PartSelect, the part arrived 3 days after I ordered it.Mike in Spokane, WA

Had pieces of plastic in Ice.
Replaced the piece that I thought was bad but discovered it was not the part that needed to be replaced. Lesson learned is take the ice bucket apart to be sure what part is bad and needs replacing.
