Remove the screws from the two door pivot covers. Remove the covers and set aside. Remove the screws from the control board; disconnect the electrical connections; remove the door light switch, install door light switch then reinstall everything.

After ordering these expensive plastic, doomed to break again and again fasteners I had a fella make some on a 3d printer, each one for under 1 cent!!! Not the 7.50 each I paid here.

Removed back wall cover over coil. Defrost all ice with a hair dryer. Cut white wires and replaced Temperature Sensor. It has been working for a week and no trouble at this time. If you have this system on your GE refrigerator do this before replacing the motherboard. I must admit I was thinking that was the trouble. Motherboard was replaced after 5 years old now 5 years later my thinking is this a 5 year problem. So try the Temperature Sensor.

1 opened door 2. pryed cover off from cieling 3.cut and stripped wires on 4. sodered wires from old wires to new sensor. 5 insulated conection.6 put cover back on. This did not fix the problem it was the control moduel.

just had to unscrew old one put the new one in

Nothing to tell it was just a replacement part that the old part was removed and the new one inserted. Works like a dream Thanks

I ordered two switches, replaced both with a knife in 10 minutes. Interior light works, thanks.

Replaced a clip.

follow the easy instructions replace 3 temperature sensors cut the wires and crimp them with new sensor and it works like new

I found instructions on the web about how to do this repair, so I ordered the part with confidence. But the instructions simply said "pull out the old switchlight". That was actually somewhat difficult as the clip on the side intended to hold the part in was stubborn. I eventually used a utility to slice off the clip. From that point, it was just a matter of plugging in the new switchlight , which was very simple.

Open back panel of refrigerator. unplug and remove main circuit board, squeeze plastic tabs with pliers to remove. Board had obvious signs of failure. Replaced with new board and plugged refrigerator in. I now had power to the lights and water dispenser but no compressor or user interface lights. Remove 4 Phillips screws on top of doors to unplug user interface. check harness for around 14 volts DC. I had 14 volts. Wich meant user interface was bad, so I replaced that as well. Refrigerator runs like new. 2 appliance repairmen told me not to bother fixing and replace with new ones.

Watched some videos on youtube after typing in : refrigerator noise, and my model # (in search bar.) Found a video after determining my problem of a gentleman from partselect replacing the evaporator motor. Pretty simple job from video so I went for it ordered parts from them( I fixed the inlet valve on my dishwasher bfore with partselect before). I would call the job easier than it looks. But you need common sense and simple tools and some experience with nuts and bolts and wires. There is one bolt tucked up high under ice maker you may need a right angle nut driver or 1/4 right angle ratchet.(video pointed out). Thanks for video and quality GE parts. I now have a quiet kitchen and great room, with just a low db constant white noise like new.

Put the new part in. It only took 1 screw to remove and replace. there were a couple of plastic parts that needed to be transferred to the new part. they just slipped on.
