TBX22JRBRWH General Electric Refrigerator - Instructions

Pulled out old drain gromet. Have to be careful not to put drain in motor. Experienced repair person could probably to in 5 minutes; it took my husband about 15 minutes. Did not really need entire drain line; just connection at top.

Using plyers Pulled old switch down and out. Put new one in and pushed new switch up into position. The switch plugs into the contacts, no wiring needed. Worked like a charm. You saved me 200 dollars GE repair bill. Thanks

Sears told me the part was no longer available. I came to your web site and then called your customer service. A very nice customer service lady helped me find the part. Very simple to pull the old one off and reinstall the new one with a rat trap behind the unit. Just in case it came back. Could have been a client but probably was a rat. The hardest part was figuring out the part needed from so many little pictures. The actual repair, a piece of cake!

Had to e-mail GE for electrical schematic. Checked voltages to compressor. Jumpered compressor to see if it would even come on. Found bad run capacitor. Fixed.

I followed the instructions and had no trouble. The refrigerator now cycles on and off as it should. The iside temp. is much colder and I know there will be a good savings on electricty.

I started at the compressor and replaced the overload and the Ptcr first and that did not make the compressor start running again, so I replaced the capasitor and it still did not start, so I bit the bulett and replaced the Main Control Board and that is what I should have checked first, when I removed the old one I found a little burnt spot on the back that I could not see from the front. The new one did not look exactly like the old one, it had two more wire terminals than the old one, but just leave them blank and everything will work just fine!

Gently pry out switch in door jam with screwdriver and pull both connectors off and put connectors on new switch then push switch back into the hole. Looked it up on the internet and video showed how to and also had link to new part, ordered and less than a week later the fridge is bright again. I have an older freezer also and it seems that they all use the same switches. Very Very easy

I watched the video, supplied on the website, two times and followed the procedure. The repair was very easy and a pleasant experience. Lay the new gasket out flat for a couple of days in the sun prior to installation and remove the door and lay it flat for the installation of the gasket. Remove old gasket and clean track and surrounding area thoroughly. Line up new gasket over track and at each corner and press into track, starting in center of one side, and work your way to each corner - repeat on each of the remaining three sides. Use a wet sponge to slide along the top of gasket while pressing same into track on the door.

easy pry out, disconnect wiring, connect on new switch and press in switch.

Cleaning up the mess after the shelf fell out took longer than replacing the part. Being a woman I never look forward to any repair job, but this was a breeze. The old parts pulled off and the new ones snapped on and that was it. Glad I found your website as the part was much less than the local dealers.

I started removing the switch by prying on the right side with a screwdriver, when it emerged enough I used pliers to finish removing it. I then unpluged rhe wires from the bad switch and pluged them on the new switch and "poped" it into the hole.
