Original part broke right at the screw junction - drawer sagged
Piece of cake - just unscrew the screws and put the new piece on, replace the glass top and replace the drawer. No brainer. Don't ever pay someone to do it.

Removed the old part using a phillips screw driver, cleaned the area, screwed in the new part, replaced the drawer. It was very easy to do, didn't even have to call my husband.

Broken left side drawer rail
First I removed the glass shelf on top of the drawer. I then removed the drawer and unscrewed the old drawer rail. After this I cleaned everything, screwed in the new drawer rail, reinstalled glass and drawer and I was finished.

Bottom shelf of frig caved in
The plastic slide rail that held up the bottom shelf of my frig as well as the top drawer had cracked & eventually broke. Being a widow who lives alone, I knew I could call my son to fix my frig - but I thought, maybe I could do this myself. I found the Brand, Model # & info I needed right on the inside of my frig. I did an internet search for Refrigerator parts, another first for me, found this web-site, then a diagram of my frig, I selected a part & ordered it. When it came in, I had ordered the slide for the bottom drawer & I needed the slide for the top drawer. I called the # from the invoice & got the nicest lady who found the correct part #, ordered it, then proceeded to process the return of the incorrect part I had ordered. The correct part came 2 days later & my credit card was immediately credited after they received the part I sent back. I was so excited to complete the "repair" myself, then with great pride I got my screw driver and changed out 2 screws - "completing my first repair job, all by myself". I diagnosed the problem, ordered the part & completed the repair without help from my family. I was very glad to add this web site to my Favorites. A great big ThankYou to Parts Select !!! Ann Payne

Bad switch for door prevented interior light from coming on
Just as your video described, although due to the age of the fridge, it took a bit longer to remove the defective switch. Your video made this so simple, I can't imagine why we lived with a dark fridge for so long! I was ready to buy a whole new fridge, as repairmen are often nonexistent for small repairs. I am the biggest fan of your company & it's repair video. THANK YOU SO MUCH

light in freezer section not working
Using plyers Pulled old switch down and out. Put new one in and pushed new switch up into position. The switch plugs into the contacts, no wiring needed. Worked like a charm. You saved me 200 dollars GE repair bill. Thanks

Freezer And Frig Both Warm And Compressor Would Not Run
I replaced the thermostat, temperature sensor, and the run capacitor. . . Refrigerator still not cooling. I checked the start relay and measured the input terminals on the compressor for the correct resistance. . . Everything measured correctly. In a last ditch effort before calling for service, I pulled the main board, inspected it and saw the problem right away. One leg on the compression capacitor had desoldered itself. Got out my soldering iron and applied a good amount of solder to that point. Put everything back together and turn it on. . . Problem fixed. The compressor kicked on right away and started cooling the refrigerator.

My fridge was colder than my freezer
I can't tell you how luck I feel after finding your website I ordered the temperature sensor after watching one of your videos on-line and the repair went just as on the video. I pulled the "bad" sensor out, and replaced it with the new one. Keep in mind that this is the first time I ever touch an appliance, needless to say I'm feeling pretty good about that! All in all it took me about 20 minutes to complete my repair and it now has been about 4 days and the refrigerator is working like new again!

Would not self defrost.
Remove the shelves then remove the back by removing the two screws at the top of the panel. Locate the temperature sensor on top of the coil. Cut the wires and replace with the new one. Use wire nuts and electrical tape to reconnect the wires.
