Frig parts had been scavenged in an apartment complex. Restoring socket was only a matter of plugging in two spade contacts and clipping in socket.

We went for months not knowing where to get the part we needed until my husband found your site on line. The first part we received was wrong, but with the help of your operators, we then received the correct part. It was only a matter of removing two screws, placing the slide and then putting the 2 screws back in. It was a snap.

Piece of cake - just unscrew the screws and put the new piece on, replace the glass top and replace the drawer. No brainer. Don't ever pay someone to do it.

First I removed the glass shelf on top of the drawer. I then removed the drawer and unscrewed the old drawer rail. After this I cleaned everything, screwed in the new drawer rail, reinstalled glass and drawer and I was finished.

Just as your video described, although due to the age of the fridge, it took a bit longer to remove the defective switch. Your video made this so simple, I can't imagine why we lived with a dark fridge for so long! I was ready to buy a whole new fridge, as repairmen are often nonexistent for small repairs. The plastic slide rail that held up the bottom shelf of my frig as well as the top drawer had cracked & eventually broke. Being a widow who lives alone, I knew I could call my son to fix my frig - but I thought, maybe I could do this myself. I found the Brand, Model # & info I needed right on the inside of my frig. I did an internet search for Refrigerator parts, another first for me, found this web-site, then a diagram of my frig, I selected a part & ordered it. When it came in, I had ordered the slide for the bottom drawer & I needed the slide for the top drawer. I called the # from the invoice & got the nicest lady who found the correct part #, ordered it, then proceeded to process the return of the incorrect part I had ordered. The correct part came 2 days later & my credit card was immediately credited after they received the part I sent back. I was so excited to complete the "repair" myself, then with great pride I got my screw driver and changed out 2 screws - "completing my first repair job, all by myself". Turned the wire protector to the side. Turned out the old bulb and replaced it with the new. Turned the wire protector back in place and I'm like new.

Using plyers Pulled old switch down and out. Put new one in and pushed new switch up into position. The switch plugs into the contacts, no wiring needed. Worked like a charm. You saved me 200 dollars GE repair bill. Thanks

Removed rer cover, unplugged starter assembly from side of compressor and replaced unit with a new one. Plugged fridge in and it works good.

no brainer,watched the video,worst thing was to thaw the freezer,it was realy frosted,works like new,very happy thank you.

unplug fridge! removed ice maker. removed the back panel in frezer. I uncliped thermostat; cut wires on thermostat and installed new thermostat.

Replaced all the sensors in both the feezer and refrigerator.Even though it colder now it still is not cold enough.Freezer won't freeze items but is cold and refrigerator still not real cold

I have a GE Profile French door refrig. It's only about 4 yrs old and the defroster stopped working. I read the other repair stories and was able to narrow it down to either the temp sensor, defrost timer, or main board. The refrig section was up to about 47 degrees and freezer was around 25. I could tell it was trying to cool but couldn't. So I tried the temp sensor first. I cut and spliced the new sensor on the outlet of the Evap. Coil and it took about 15 mins. Turned refrig back on and waited. The coil started to ice over after about 5 hrs I left the back panel off so I could see if and when then heater kicked on. After about 8 hrs I looked in and saw a faint glow and water trickling down and running out the drain. Turned out the sensor was bad and wasn't telling the main board it needed to defrost. I would try the sensor if you are having the same issues before spending a lot of money on the main board, defrost heater and or timer.
