needed replacements parts.

This was a replacement part, a simple snap in. What really impressed me was the PartSelect web site and the ease of locating the part and making sure it was the right one. Finally, the price beat out all the others. Since this tray looked like others on the same unit, I needed the details, the different view angles and dimensions to make sure it was correct. No other web site was even close in ease of use or in providing such details. I know I won't waste my time at PartSelect and I've always gotten the right part at the best price.

The repair was just as easy as ordering the part which arrived on day three after I ordered it! I had already cleaned up the broken glass insert, so all I had to do was unpack and lay the new shelf in. Took less than a minute!

So simple! I just slid the drawer out of the old frame, inserted it in the new one, and added the glass cover.

Turn off ice maker
Slide wire harness shield off connector
Disconnected harness
Loosened 2 wall screws
Remove old ice maker
Installed new one reversing process

I ordered 3 bins initially and received only one, which was very easy to install. It just snaps in. When I called to indicate that I had received only one of the 3 bins, a claim was submitted and I got a refund for the missing parts. Then I had to reorder the two missing parts.

When I received the reorder, both of the bins were broken. I called to indicate that they were broken. I was told that I would have to submit photos of the broken parts to photos@replaceparts.com, which I did. After I submitted the photos, I received an email asking me for the photos again and the serial number of the refrigerator. This is the first time the serial number was requested. I have no idea why they wanted the serial number at this point instead of when I first ordered the parts.

At this point, I am still waiting to get my claim for the broken parts approved. I assume that the shipping department is pretty worthless, since they screwed up my order to begin with and then the shabby packing that was done for such fragile plastic parts on the reorder.

I'm not happy with the hassle that I have been going through just to get a simple order delivered.

Slip out old shelf, remove glass and clean, slip in the new shelf and replace glass on top. That easy

REMOVED THE DRAWER, LIFTED OFF THE GLASS, REMOVED THE BROKEN SLIDE, AND PLACED THE NEW SLIDE IN THE PROPER SPACE. REPLCED THE GLASS SHELF TOP AND THE DRAWER. PEICE OF CAKE

Once I received the new bin, I removed from the box, then took it out of the plastic wrapping and gently placed on the door of my refrigerator. It was THAT simple. I honestly expected to do more work. I was pleasantly surprised.

Replaced said Bin-Door.

I removed the drip tray, exposing the screws on the bottom of the dispenser panel. I removed the three screws and lifted upon the panel to pull it out of the opening. From there I unplugged the power cord to release the old panel. I removed the power module from the old panel and installed it into the new panel. I then reattached the power plug and put it back in place. I screwed it back in and inserted the new drip tray.

Glue the old one with gorilla glue. Made space and put the bin in. Now I have an extra one.

unplug refrigerator and insert the bulb in refrigerator first and then insert the second bulb in freezer side. After which, plug the refrigerator back in.

I unplugged the refrigerator and removed the back panel in the freezer. Here the coils were covered in a block of heavy frost. The coils needed to defrost, I allowed this to happen of the course of a few hours. Once this was done I used the wire cutters, cutting the two wires to the thermostat. Doing this I checked the continuity & got no reading. Having ordered the part at a more than reasonable price including 2 day delivery, I was ready to complete the repair. Stripping the thermostat wires connected the the freezer unit, I attached the two wires color to color to the new thermostat. Here I needed to insert both ends into the connector (butt end), crimping both sides. Making sure each end I'd secure. Do this for both sets of wires. Placing the new thermostat back on the the cooper coil (on the same one it was removed from), put the freezer back in place. Here I only screwed in two, in case I need to go back in. I plugged the refrigerator back in turn the settings back to default or factory. Allowed the refrigerator to come back up to temperature for 24-48 hours. I did these and I'm glad to say my 12 year refrigerator is working just like before.
