Light socket melted around bulb
After unsuccessfully trying to change the blown light bulb I discovered that the plastic light socket had gotten so hot that it melted and permanently fused with the blown bulb. After my new socket arrived in the mail I just popped the temp control assembly out with a screw driver and removed the old socket and placed the new one in. Whole operation to 5 minutes.

Ice maker wouldn't change from crushed to cubed ice
First I pulled the ice tray out so I could see the solenoid housing/ice tray support(1 unit). Below the ice tray there are 2 screws that hold the solenoid housing/ice tray support. After removing those the assembly lifts up so you can see the wiring harness to disconnect. I pulled it out and removed the 2 screws to open it up. There is 2 screws holding the solenoid in place and one ground wire. This was an easy fix and I know I saved a lot of money.

ice maker cycling properly but not getting water on fill cycle
1.Unplugged appliance. Removed rear access panel, turned off water supply valve, removed two screws holding water valve assembly in place.
2. Removed and drained all water lines.
3. Removed three electric solenoid wiring connections.
4.Cut and marked all water lines to facilitate new connecting procedure (instructions provided with the new valve assembly).
5. Inserted the water lines into the new valve by applying a bit of vaseline on tubing end prior to pushing lines into O-ring fittings.
6. Clean the embarassing dust from under the appliance!!!
Note: All lines, wiring, and valves were color-coded to prevent connecting to wrong lines and electric solenoids.
Note: Be sure to remove water inlet supply trough to rear of ice-maker. This tube may freeze solid and prevent water from filling freeze tray. This is done by turning the inlet pipe on the back of the cabinet 1/4 turn and retracting from cabinet.

I broke the glass shelf when I took it out of the refrigerator to clean.
This occurred on Sunday and I ordered the part Sunday afternoon. By Tuesday afternoon the replacement was back at work. It just slipped into place, without any tools or fuss.

Cracked Label Module Cover
At first I thought I was going to have to undo a bunch of screws and stuff come to find out when I got the part in the mail all it ended up being is just like a giant sticker. So I just had to peel off the old one and line up and stick on the new one. Really simple. So if your button display on your the door of where your ice maker is where is says crushed / cubed or light on / off is cracked in anyway this is the place to get your part and saves you money on labor charges and the fee for an estimate. I would have had to pay 60. 00 To have someone come out and then money for the part then plus labor which would be approximately 150. 00 And all I paid was 46. 00 , Outstanding !!!!

Water coming out of the ice maker when dispensing water from the door.
This issue was noted in the advice area as being a filter, or valve assembly. But it turned out to be a diode kit that was causing this issue. I don't know why I could not find this issue anywhere on line? When I received the diode kit there was instructions that noted exactly the problem I was having.
The fix was easy just a few wires cut and spliced and viola fixed.

Refrigerator not cooling, Freezer working fine
Frig area was at about 50 degrees and would not get cooler. Freezer was working great.
Empty the freezer and remove the two screws that hold the back panel of the inside of the freezer on. Pull the panel out and you will see the fan that is mounted to the back of the panel. If the fan is not running, disconnect it (quick connector) and check to see if there is voltage coming to it from the connector (should be 120VAC between the two wires). If there is power, and the fan was not working, replace the fan.
Fan just snaps into the holder on the back panel and plugs into the quick connector. Make sure you clear any ice build-up in the hole between the freezer and the frig that the fans blows through. Put it back together and verify the fan runs.

Ice maker did not produce ice.
The repair was easy. The problem was the lack of explanation. This may help other customers. I was told by the virtual trouble shooting system that about 30% of the cure was to replace the water filter and 70% was to replace the water valve. I did both and still had the problem. People need to be told why they have to replace the water valve. The reason is this. The valve has a very small leak in it that lets water continue to flow into the freezer compartment drop by drop. Eventually, this freezes and clogs the hole , so no water can pass and thus no ice can be made.In either your web site or another they stated that it may freeze up here, but there was no connection to the water valve. It seemed like it was another topic. Its very hard to see the frozen area, unless you remove it from the freezer area. I wish I was TOLD TO DO THIS, after i replaced the valve It would have saved me a repair bill. I hope this helps others.

The in the door ice dispencer would not dispense ice since the auger wasn't working properly to push the ice through the door.
Pulled the old ice container assembly out and discarded it and inserted the new one. It immediately worked and now dispenses both crushed and cubed ice through the door.
