FGHS2631PF5A Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

I used pliers to get the remaining shelf support studs out, then the new ones just snapped right in place. Very easy repair!

1. I took out one screw on the ice maker and loosened the other two screws and unplugged and removed the ice maker.
2. Next I took out 2 screws from the bottom of the auger drive box and unplugged the wiring harness and removed the box. The wiring harness was a little tricky. The lock on the plug pushes in to unlock even though it looks like it pulls out,.
3.next you must remove 2 screws from the left side bracket that holds the auger box and remove the bracket.
4.Now take out 8 screws that hold the back panel in place and remove the back panel.
5. now your looking at the evaporator fan blade and motor. The simple way to replace the fan blade is to unplug the motor and remove it from the freezer. It just sits in with nothing holding it. The fan requires a little pressure but should pull right off. Install new fan blade and put everything back in the same order it was removed.

I ordered the part from PartSelect using the part number located on the valve itself. The part was delivered in less than 48 hours from the time I entered it. Replacing the valve was easy and went according to the online video instructions provided by PartSelect. The only thing extra was that I had to replace the brass compression fitting on the copper tubing connected to the inlet of the valve. The old one would not seal properly. The compression fitting was about $1.50 at Home Depot. This is my third purchase from PartSelect and I continue to be impressed by them.

It was real easy took the lines off one by one put them on the new unit one by one same with the three plugs than tighten new unit back on fridge.

Downloaded a schematic of the ice container. Disassembled the ice container, keeping track of which different type of screws went where. Followed the schematic to ensure proper sequence of blades and spacers. Manually rotated unit prior to installing into the freezer in case of binding. Finished.

Unscrewed 4 screws and disconnected interface cables. Simple, very easy repair with complete correction of both temp and selection option lights. Instructions that came with the interface board were easy to read and understand.

Remove old filter and replace easy.

Replaced the bin took less than 5 minutes. Very impressed with the service we got. The part came in 1 day!!

While loading up the freezer for holiday company, the bin on the door broke. I went online ordered a new one, got to me in three days. Took it out of the package. Hooked it in..Fixed.

The repair was not it. It was the customer service by the ladys that answered the phone. Both of them were the same as to give me a perpaid return shipping label and my money back. It was like being at the return desk at W.M. and not like at some of the on line service I have come to know...

The bulb has a plastic clear cover. That cover can just be carefully removed using a screwdriver. It's held in by a metal bracket. After you remove the cover. You'll just need to replace the bulb and then re-install the cover and bracket.

You order your door bin by phone to PartSelect and wait. Wait for about 3 1/2 weeks to get a cracked and unusable piece of plastic. Then reorder and wait. Wait for about 2 weeks to get another cracked door bin. Now you decide to use this part or send this one back also. Don't worry, you get charged for shipping only once. I decided to use the second bin. It was not cracked from top to bottom like the first one. I'll see how long it last.

Easy to remove the auger Motor and Solenoid, however, it didn't fix the problem. $300.00 into it I now have to purchase a circuit board for $382.00. Not a happy camper.
