FFHT1621QB6 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

Took longer to clear the top shelf to remove it from the refrigerator to do the repairs. Super easy!

the repair was simple but the real story was the easy to read blow up diagram of the refridgerator after I entered the model no. Everything was numbered and I new exactly what I was ordering.
I will definatley buy here again.

First, remove shelf unit from refrigerator and lay glass side down on a large flat surface. Observe, then pay attention to assembly. Spent more time with this, drinking coffee, and playing with puppy, than the actual repair. Only had to remove and replace two
phillips head screws. Replace deli - meat drawer after shelf unit is in place in refrigerator. Check for clearance for door to close.

The shelf needed to be removed from refrigerator and then remove the screw and pull the rail from the bracket on the opposite end. After installing the new rail it turned out to be a fraction of an inch too long so I had to file the cracket on the shelf which is metal. The rail slipped back in and was perfect. Easy job.

I had to tap the screw holes with a 8/32 tap so that the screws would not bind.

In 10 years, this is the second time these drawer supports broke and what a difference to fix. The parts came quickly, fit well and are very easy to install. The fridge is good as new and the cheese/condiment drawer is back where it belongs. Good quality and easy to do.

I ordered the replacement part on-line. When I received the part, I realized it was the wrong part. I contacted PartSelect and worked with the service representative, Julie H. She was excellent!! She determined that I had used an incorrect model number, and then she directed me to where I could find the correct number. She gave me clear directions on how to return the incorrect piece, and then sent me a UPS label to cover the shipping costs. Julie H was at all times, professional, friendly and very helpful!! Unloaded the shelf and removed shelf. unscrewed the one screw and removed the rail. inserted new rail and replaced the screw. DONE.

Removed the screw at back of broken rail. Removed the broken rail, replaced with the new rail, replaced the screw. Total repair time, 5 minutes. Took longer to clean the shelf off than to replace support rail

removed the old rusted shelf and replace with new one. Very simple.

Removed shelf unscrewed screw on both supports replaced and secured.

snapped the wires from frig onto the proper prong and viola,it works. The proper prong is identified by the size because there are two prongs with the wires and two connecting prongs in the socket. I talked to a very helpful representative and she gave me the number for Frigidaire, when I was confused by the placement of the wire. Wish I had remembered her name to share with you. As it turned out I didn't need to call Frigidaire.

Took all the item off the shelf turned it upside down on the table,worked rear off off the pin carefully,install new rail and refastened the front tab strip.
