The hole on the handle mounting block was too low
I had to loosen the screw holding the mounting block and increase the hole size to fit the screw on refrigerator

The new motor mount screw holes were not threaded.
I had to tap the screw holes with a 8/32 tap so that the screws would not bind.

The replacement part was not a perfect fit.
I tried to obtain installation instructions from PartSelect and from Frigidaire, but there were none, so I find it rather amusing that you expect me to provide the instructions. All I can say is that the replacement part did not exactly match the original, rendering it impossible to install. Had the part fitted, it would have required only a phillips screw driver to install it. The sort-of happy ending is that after removing the broken handle, I found that the fridge door opens and closes perfectly well without it. Thank you for this opportunity to share my experience with others. Lorna

Refrigerator door sagged, had to push the door to close it.
Used wood blocks to raise the door off the lower hinge bracket then unscrewed the suspect hinge. Cut a small shim, two layers of soda can, to place under the lower edge of the new hinge bracket and doubled the washers by using the old one to ensure I had adequate clearance for the door. After a little silicone lube I installed the new hinge bracket. All better now.

Original plastic hinge cracked across the middle
Removed 2 hex screws & old hinge, placed new hinge on cabinet & found that it didn't fit; one hole was about 1/8" off. Had to drill a new hole in cabinet top in order to attach new hinge. Hinge works fine now. I'm glad to find the hinge is metal; original one was plastic.

Freezer door sagging due to warped hinge
Just block the door up so it doesn't fall off, remove the two screws, replace hinge, and replace screws. My wife could have done it. Metal replacement part is much better than the original plastic that warped from day one.

The refrigerator door handle just snapped off in my husbands hand.
To take off the handle it needs to be unscrewed on the top piece and it just slides off the bottom screw in the front of the door. What you need to know is that the "bumpers" that are right next to the handle have to come out. Simply ply them up with a kitchen knife. Then you slide the handle up on the screw til it "locks" in place, then gently but firmly bring it up over the corner of the door and set it in the right place. Insert the screws you originally removed and you are all set.
