freezer iced up, not defrosting, diagnosed bad defrost thermostst
Took about an hour previously to deice freezer, timer was running,drain was open, jumped defrost thermostat out and heater was O.K. Defrost thermostat was just a plug and play item, the time involved was in taking the freezer apart to get to it.

door shelf end caps were broken
removed broken end caps, took a small screwdriver and simply applied a little pressure to release them. Pushed new end caps into place (they just snap in). Presto done!!

door shelf ends broken off from constant pulling on door and slaming it with 2 gallons of milk in door.
Inserted the caps into the bar and snapped in door. That's it.
No tools needed! Hope it last another 20 years

frezzer iceing over and not cooling the refrigerator
Just removed the two screws and unpluged it.
Then I pluged the new one in and replaced the screws. It runs like a brand new reffrigerator.

freezer worked frig was warm. Ice maker is still not working
Removed two screws to get to defrost time pull panel down remove two screws holding time and reinstall

loud noise fan blade broke,off balance
take 1/4 hex screws out clean out dust ,remove old fan blade replace with new install bolts .

Our freezer warmed up and we had to throw out all the food.
We were looking for a new freezer --thinking it wouldn't be worth calling a repairman. I was trying to determine the size of the freezer and couldn't find it in the manual. So I googled the model number and stumbled upon this site. Thought it would be worth a try and $12 plus shipping to replace the thermostat. Got the thermostat a couple days later, followed the video directions to replace it--not hard! Plugged it in and it is working great!!! SOOOOO glad I stumbled on your site! You saved us $700-$800!! Wrong size listed on website.
The end cap is easy to remove and replace. The personnel at PartSelect was extremely helpful in re-ordering the correct part.

Freezer built ice, fridge not cold enough and running constantly.
Removed front low grill, removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the wires. Reversed process to install new timer.

Freezer door shelf end cap broke
The only problem I had was that the end cap was sent before the rack. This refrigerator is in our cottage and I brought up the end cap while waiting to receive the rack. I couldn't remember where I put the end cap, so when the rack came it took me a few weekends to find the end cap. Once I did, it took me less than 1 minute to repair. I put the rack on the end caps & pushed the end cap in place. DONE!

clips on both end caps we broken and the crossbar kept falling off.
First i pulled the crossbar off the door, then I pulled both end caps off the crossbar and then I
put the two new end cap on the crossbar and then tapped snoggly into place with the palm of my hand. Job done. took all of about 5 seconds.
