FRT22QRGW2 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

Just took it out of the box, wash it and put it on the inside door.

A little research told me the hum plus no cooling was either the compressor or the relay. I ordered the new relay and put it in but it didn't fix the problem. I ended up having to buy a new fridge, but it was worth the $30 gamble to see if I could fix it on the cheap and it saved me the money a service call would've cost. Pretty easy installation, just in a tight space on my model.

I watch the how to repair video on line and the repair went very quick and easy.It was just like the video,no hidden suprises.

I used a flat head screwdriver to pry open the front of the socket as I pushed the socket toward the freezer side. I unplugged the two wires connected to the socket then re-connected the two wires to the new socket and popped the new socket back in. I then put a new light bulb in and we had light again in the fridge.

Found the part on this site ordered and received part in 3 days. Took approx. 10 min to replace. Thanks for the quick service.

We took the door off and replaced the pastic washer. Found out that the repair people never informed us that the door itself has a bit damaged so this repair would have to be done over and over. Nice way for them to make money off us.
We were able to fix it so that it will last a LONG time. Sometimes it realy can pay to do-it-yourself!

Called Parts-select they helped me out because I had different part number they guided me to the correct part and sent it in no time the part arrived and within 3minutes the part was on and looking good.

I had a fridge that was not working food was melting in the freezer, Beer was warm. You get the picture anyway using your site I found the parts needed to to fix the issue in fact I ordered two parts one fixed the issue 50% and the other like 30% of the time! both parts with overnight shipping were cheaper than 1 part if purchased at our local appliance part outlet:) not to mention the cost of a repair person. Traced issue to defrost timer ( burned compressor & element contacts). This unit is mounted next to the temperature adjustment control in the refridgerator area - right in front. Removal of plastic cover provided easy access to the timer. Unit unscrews from the mounting then unplugs. Installation is reverse of removal.

Refrigerator started frosting up and running all the time.I'd defrost it and it would frost up again in about a week.The timer seems to be work so I just guest it mite be the Defrost Thermostat.I removed the duck in the center and back panel in the freezer compartment defrosted it and switched Thermostats and replaced panel and duck, going to lower compartment of the refrigerator.So far it seems to be working a little more time while tell.

I simply removed 4 screws holding the casing and then 2 more holding the timer. It was very easy. I then replaced the timer by unplugging and plugged the new one in. I replaced all the screws and the job was done. Less than 30 minutes. I was very impressed with the shipping time. When I ordered the part, I had it the next day.

Ordered a new defroster timer and replace old one. It works just fine. A $35 repair vs a $500 new appliance.

I removed the retainer bar from the freezer door and unclipped the broken end cap (the clips were broken). I snapped the new one into place and snapped the retainer bar back into the freezer door.
