freezer defrost would melt the food
Looked up similar problems and found it to be the defrost timer. All I had to do was remove the plastic portion in the fridge section to get to the old timer. Popped the new one in and put it back together. Works great now. Would have been almost $150 to have a repair company come out and fix it.

I removed the top and bottom plastic bits that hide the screws. Then I removed the screws and put the new handle on with the same sheet-metal screws. No problems encountered.

take the ice bin out of freezer. there are 2- 1/4" screws. these screws only need to be loosened a few turns. the ice maker can be slightly lifted up and will come off the screws. unhook the wire harness. take the "L" bracket off the old ice maker and put on the new one. set the new ice maker in. hook up the wire harness. put the new ice maker over the screws, tuck the wires out of the way and pull down into place. tighten the screws.

Handle broke off when opening freezer
It was almost too easy. All I had to do was screw 4 screws into the handle, put the caps on to hide the screws and I was done. And I saved money by ordering from Frigidaire vs my local appliance store where I actually purchased the freezer.

Broken Plastic Shelf guides
Removed parts and reused the old rollers from the sliding meat drawer. Important point to remember is to not through away any hardware before the new parts arrive. New parts are void of hardware. Parts arrvied ontime as promissed and fit perfectly. I saved a ton of money doing this myself and not calling the repairman. great experiance.

Removed outside cover on door despencer, (4 screws) unplug wire, removed unit from refrig and replace rusted thru wire that holds door shut. It was fairly easy. I actually took it apart twice, once for diagnosis and once for repair after the part arrived.

Two veggie drawers in fridge were broken, we could no longer do a quick fix on them
Replacing the old drawers out for the new ones was so easy that my 13 year old son took less than 15 minutes to do the job! By himself!
He pulled out the two old broken drawer,s took off the front panel,s on each, put the panel on their respective new drawer , filled the drawer up with the veggies that were in it before, and put the whole thing back in the fridge! Now my drawers work again and don't fall out or crack each time I open them! Hooray for replacement parts!!! Saved me a bundle on buying a new fridge!
